Hunter's Night
Allen-Lande Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The night is challenging her
She's here because of greed
She feels the smell of fear
Sense it in the air
There's nowhere to run and there's nowhere to hide
Don't touch her cold skin or you slowly will die
Don't be fooled by her friendly smile
Don't you follow her treacherous voice
That leads the fool into her arms
Here she comes
Chasing after your poor soul
She won't let your heart grow old
The hunter's night will last forever
[repeat]
No one out there knows she's here
Hurry before it is too late
Silent steps approaching you
Don't you look into her evil eyes...
Here she comes...
The lyrics of Allen-Lande's song "Hunter's Night" describe a dark and dangerous situation where the night is personified as a hunter that is out to get a victim. The night is challenging the victim, who is driven by greed and has nowhere to run or hide. The lyrics create an atmosphere of fear and desperation, as the victim struggles to escape the clutches of the hunter, who is described as having cold skin and an evil gaze that can lead the fool to their demise.
The song is a warning against the dangers of falling prey to greed and temptation. The victim is lured by the promise of riches and pleasure, but in the end, they are caught in a trap from which there is no escape. The lyrics also suggest a sense of fatalism, as the hunter's night will last forever, implying that once you fall into darkness, there is no coming back.
Overall, "Hunter's Night" is a dark and haunting song that speaks to the dangers of giving in to temptation and the consequences of our actions. It is a cautionary tale that encourages listeners to be vigilant and avoid the pitfalls of greed and desire.
