Alyssa's début television appearance was on the television show Party Mamas and she was also runner up for The Next Star, a Canadian reality television show on YTV.[1] Whilst her first release "If You Are" failed to make an impact on the charts, her second release changed her life forever.
Alone Again, Alyssa's second single, was released on December 7, 2010. "Alone Again" peaked at #3 in her native country and was the top selling, highest charting, and most spun single by a Canadian artist at Canadian radio in 2011. 'Alone Again' débuted at #1 in the UK, however fell to #2 before the end of week chart. Her début album, "The Game" was released June 21st, 2011 and only charted in Canada at #25.
Reid's second album, "Time Bomb" was released 3 years later in 2014 on September 16th, featuring the singles "Running Guns", "Satisfaction Guaranteed" (which charted at #25 in Canada) and "Hurricane". She stated in an interview with Canadian news site "Mind Your Mind" that Hurricane is her favourite song to perform from the album.
Although Alyssa is yet to reach such heights in worldwide charts as she did with "Alone Again", her music continues to chart in her native Canada, with her latest release "Dangerous", featuring The Heist, reaching #66. She is currently signed to Canadian record label Wax Records[1] whilst living in Brampton, Ontario.
Letting Go

I can see in his eyes
But he's trying play his games on you
And you don't see through his lies
But I know he really needs you
And I know you can tell
'Cause he's with his boys right now
So you know he's putting you through hell
So tell him to go,
If he's too good for you
Let him know,
If he thinks he's too cool
Move on,
'Cause it won't be long
'Til his game is done
The crowd is gone
I know you're thinking it's a quarter to ten,
And you wonder why you did it again
Remember what you're fighting for,
As you're walking out that door
It took a minute but I'm starting to doubt,
That you're ever gonna figure it out
I won't be the last to know
You took a chance,
Now I'm letting go.
The song Letting Go by Alyssa Reid is a classic story of a girl in a toxic relationship, who cannot seem to see through her partner's lies and manipulative behavior. The song starts with the singer observing the boy who is trying to play his games on the girl who remains unaware of his intentions. The singer of the song is aware of the boy's true feelings, and how he is putting the girl through hell.
The chorus of the song is urging the girl to stand up for herself and let the boy go if he is not worthy of her. The chorus is a call to action for the girl to see through the boy's lies and manipulation and realize her worth. The singer of the song is trying to help the girl take control of her life and move on from the toxic relationship, no matter how difficult it may seem.
Towards the end of the song, the girl seems to be having second thoughts about leaving the relationship, but the singer of the song encourages her to remember what she's fighting for and to walk away from the situation. The girl ultimately takes a chance and walks away from the relationship, and the song ends with the singer's resignation that the girl may never realize her worth, but she would still let her go.

It took some time, but now I am questioning
That you're ever gonna figure it out
That you will ever comprehend the situation
I won't be the last to know
I will not be the final person to become informed
You took a chance,
You took a gamble
Now I'm letting go.
But now I am moving on.

I'm letting go because I know he only love her not me. He said he liked me but he told me he loved her. It's clear enough. 😔😔😢
