...is the second project of Radovan Scasascia on Dreck-Records. Here he introduces yet another Intriguing concept to combine popular music and conceptual composing. AM/PM’s fi rst two releases (DRK-05/07) feature tracks composed mostly of final notes and humms recorded from the ends of existing pieces of music. Again a wide selection of source material is sampled here, but unlike with Secondo’s chop-choptechnique these tracks do not refer to their source material. A melancholia and angularity runs through these tracks – once removed from their original songs, these sounds adopt a feeling of fi nality as well as endlessness. The two Mini LPs were also released together on a CD in October 2004, named ‘The Ends I & II’.

Next to his numerous Secondo gigs Radovan Scasascia recently started playing livesets of his AM/PM material, both in clubs and in gallery environments.

Overall Meaning

Hey man, I've been taking music seriously for the last year now, I put out a 7 song demo, a couple singles, a contest track for the warrior built emcee with Tech n9ne/Krizz Kaliko (didn't win but got to keep the song) a Omaha Cypher (my city) I booked my first legit promo show back in December 2016 (been doing open mics and shit all year, finally paid off) and it went really great! the people asked me to come back to the venue next month on the 18th of February for a show so I have some time before the next event, it will be my second promo show that I've booked and want to really try to pack it out in these next couple weeks, I'm not the headlining act but I'm still greatful for the opportunity. What is your advice to me going forward with marketing and promotional advice to really make this second show count? I've been looking into facebook advertising and I feel pretty comfortable with that I just don't know how much and when I should start the ad to increase the maximum output. Any other advice to an up and coming rapper from Omaha, Nebraska?

I'm noticing a slight redirection of marketing on line the past few years. Producers 10 years ago were using email auto respond and the Postman type methods which, at the time was the right thing at the right time. Fast forward a decade you have a new generation on producers (ex..Taz Taylor/Beat Plug) using YouTube and social media to market..... gain fans.... make sales. One thing that is consistent between them is having your own website to funnel your traffic too. Taz dont use email auto respond and old school guys wouldn't have made it without it. If you already have a bunch of email subscribers already than awesome but this day in age producers seem to use social media as their way of "email"...i mean who really checks their email anymore?...not like we use to. I know we all need to find our own way and be original but yet follow the ones before us. My question is and sorry for the "book" lol, but how do we market and what should we be using today. Does Postmans methods still apply today or???? How should we be marketing and where this day in age. Where should my money be going? Thanks a billy.

As someone who doesn't have the biggest fan base, i've held off on releasing albums because I feel like nobody wants to listen to 12-13 songs from an artist they have no idea about. Instead I released EPs with 5-6 songs because I feel like having something that short and sweet is more appealing to first time listeners. That being said, would you suggest taking it a step further and only releasing singles until I build a fan base, or stick with the 5-6 song EPs. If yes to the singles, how often should I be releasing them? I don't want to oversaturate them but also don't want to go ghost. Thanks!

I have been producing/writing for a while now and i don't want to be the "stereotype" producer and create and sell beats. The things i create are too sentimental to me and therefore i am looking to work with vocalists and "collab" rather than sell them off. I look at an artist like chance the rapper. Isn't signed. Has yet to realease anything but FREE mixtape music. and he gets radio play. or Macklemore who had a huge year a while back and won the Grammy over kendrick.. if possible. could you break down the new and different deals artist are making to avoid getting involved with a major labels ?. I personally don't know how someone like chance is able to do what he's doing without a major label backing and without making his fans pay for his music but I'm very sure every artist locked up in 360 deals wished they did what chance is doing... in short. what's chances the rappers blueprint? and how can aspiring a get a similar team built around them like him ?
