djanfan ma nyin de
ka nono na malo kelema
djarabidjanfan ma nyin de
e kana ne djanfan

The song Djanfa by Amadou & Mariam has a deeply emotional and introspective tone that relates to the theme of love and loss. The chorus "Djanfa ma nyin de" translates from Bambara to "I miss you" and is repeated continuously throughout the song. The first line "E kana ne maloya" could be interpreted as a reference to a beautiful and captivating woman who the singer is deeply drawn to. The following lines suggest a longing to be with this person, saying "Ka nono na malo kelema" which means "I want to see your face again."
The lyrics continue with a sense of yearning and a desire to be reunited with the person they miss so deeply. The repetition of "djarabi" reinforces this longing, with the word translating to "my love" or "my darling" in Bambara. The final lines "Layidu ka gelen" reiterate the desire to reunite and be with their love once again.
Overall, the song Djanfa is a heart-wrenching and beautiful tribute to the pain of separation and the power of love.

@YierikRequena
kana ta ka n to
i t´i miiri kuma ka ma
djarabi
djanfan ma nyin de
ka nono na malo kelema
djarabi

No humillarme mi amor
bellisima no :)
