God broke me out of my shell today. Today my healing begins. A new fresh beginning with the creator. Hearing this song really reminds me that there are so many other believers that experience the same pain, loss, and sense of hopelessness. So many moments i had ignorantly brushed off things like anxiety and depression, claiming that those that experienced these things just needed to understand how good God is. But boy was I so far off from the truth. It’s so much more than knowing, but it’s about understanding and ACCEPTING that God wants to save you in every situation. If he sent his perfect son to die for the world while we were yet sinners, how heavy do you imagine his desire to release the salvation is? Do you think he would withhold the whole his goodness from our bad situations if those situations are the very thing he came to crush? It’s so real that he brings color to EVERY SINGLE THING you let him grab hold of. He did it for YOU.

I’ve learned that God loves you so much that he created you so that you could experience his love even though he knew you would face really hard times in your life. That means he weighs his love GREATER than pain we feel, even though it feels otherwise when we take our eyes off Jesus. The same furious love that calms that storm calms my heart and mind everyday. I’ve learned we can’t physically get into our mind and reset it. Only the Holy Spirit can change the inside. It’s a spiritual battle, and it goes beyond self help. But thank Thank GOD that he LOVES YOU SO MUCH AND HE WONT EVER WITHHOLD HIMSELF FROM YOU. Just cry out. Just cry out and know that he rescues you every moment.

I’ll trie this again as my iPad went flying off my bed and sent a half finished manuscript . I watched the video “ Awakening “ this evening and read Jackie’s reply and I am just now catching my breath from both ! I am very much and taking this journey on a completely different level as in hearing , feeling , seeing all from a calmer place . When I say this time I’m referring to my up bringing as Roman Catholic with all its legalism and formalities. Even with that sternness of upbringing I fell off coarse and stayed that way up until about four years ago . At that time I couldn’t trust anyone or any thing as PTSD would block it all . I finally had to leave the city and get some fresh air and ground myself (again) . So ya this new journey for myself is completely different as I think ,read and saw that I am in good company knowing that Jackie and the video are testaments that I’m not alone with all that was, and yes I know I’m never been alone as in footprints, just saying . I heard you have to go threw it to get to it so that’s what I feel I’m doing , trudging along with my head down and my ass up just like the Buffalo they keep going threw the blizzard knowing there is green grass at the other end . I come back to this song. It’s been ten months since a new life has been birthed in me, since I left my last comment. A new heart, a new mind. But it has not been easy. God is continuing to break off all the negative strongholds that held me captive for 37 years! He has and is continually showing me a love that I never knew existed. I was taught he would leave me every time I sinned, that I had to get saved over and over and over again. I’m so glad God has set me free from that!! He has a new daughter!! One who is not afraid of him anymore but in awe of him. He’s not a God of wrath like people put him out to be. If only they knew his great love for them. It has been really hard to get rid of that mindset but now I am not alone! I have a wonderful church that teaches me that God loves me despite my flaws and shortcomings and a church family who loves me so much. I never have to put up with that torment again,, even though it does try to sneak it’s ugly head up from time to time. Last week was a struggle but God pulled me through. There’s still much healing that needs to take place from a very rough past but I know who holds me now and I now know he’s never letting me go! 😭🙌🏼❤️

For those of you who are aware of the Law of Assumption and the power of imagination (also metaphorically mentioned several times in scripture), will easily relate to her saying "This is my awakening. As a proffesionaly trained dancer, this music video spoke to my heart and brought tears to my eyes. The simplicity that was used to portray such a beautiful message in partnering the music and dance. Thank you for not overdoing it and thank you go using dance! That's the most apropos comment I've read so far. It makes a lot of sense that your soul knew what was real in this video. The dancing exceeds rational thought... The melody, the visual cues of tears, mirroring some kind of internal alignment with God in the midst of suffering... It's all congruent with a true journey of a soul of an artistic prophetic person coming to grips with their identity and realizing how... "Who they are & what they are called to" is never going to align to their external circumstances. Hearing God's voice, being in God's presence allows humans to receive an intimation of the Divine approach to making ALL things new. From hearts broken after relationships shattered to stars collapsing... From wild fires to earth quakes... From depression, elation, birth and death the way of God's (re)generative power will always feel like a mystery to people who's biology wants to instinctively avoid suffering. But the mystery of Easter is that it's through suffering, through death & loss (of many types) that Jesus resurrected presence is made manifest in his followers lives. It goes directly against our instincts & the Holy Spirit re-wires our feedback loops to show us Divine redemption in all, through all via the Christ in us, we in Christ. Thanks Amanda for persevering and allowing your pain to develop into an art form we can all benefit from if we have eyes to see and ears to hear.

Wow.. I know what this feels like.. I'm part of our church worship team, but sometimes on that platform you can feel a hundred miles away when you are carrying a heaviness no one knows about.. Things you carry and cannot share.. Just brokenness.. Deep pain and things you cannot share with anyone but God.. And sometimes even He has felt far off and unreachable so many times.. March 3rd.. then March 11th.. the days of my awakening. Then I found this song just at the right time!! I will NEVER forget!! God you never quit on me. He never gives up on us. Even when we give up. He’s always there. He will restore that which was lost and taken. We have to loose to win.. a tree has to fall in the woods but it then gives rich life sustaining nutrients back to the ground. A Forest burns down but comes back as a new forest,, all things are redeemed and made new again through our death, suffering and pain. We may burn, we may fall but from that are made new beginnings!!!

I love it. It lets us know there is more beyond the awakening, more than just being awakened from a dark place and time. A reintroduction of God’s love and light leading us out of our hiding place. And into the forest of life and new light and color. She says how can she figuratively go back into sleep mode now. This is part of the process. The song invites us to the rest of her new songs. It invites us into relationship with a Father that does more than awaken us, but leads us on into life everlasting, through the woods into the clearing and possible up on the hill to the now as it relates to the future and how the Lord is there throughout.
