Serendipity
Amaranthe Lyrics

Release me
Please come to me
Oh, serendipity
They always saw what I couldn't see
When they tried to take my dignity
But I'm tougher, getting stronger, growing hard to beat
Andreas Solveström
I'm on a one way street
My fall from grace complete
Elize Ryd
But I feel that there's a hazard hanging over me
But I take away the feeling that I can't see
Andreas Solveström
And now you stay to me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Serendipity
The way to set us free
'Cause every time I think it over
It comes clear to me
Elize Ryd, Jake E & Andreas Solveström
Release me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Please come to me
Oh, serendipity
Jake E
Just as a dream being detained
My anxiety is what I blame
Elize Ryd & Jake E
But I'm tougher, I am stronger and I'm hard to crack
It's a message, it's my destiny to come back
Andreas Solveström
One fallen enemy
A fading entropy
Elize Ryd & Jake E
It gets harder, but releases like a heavy rain
It is fatal to believe or to detain pain
Andreas Solveström
Oh, please come to me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Serendipity
The way to set us free
'Cause every time I think it over
It comes clear to me
Elize Ryd, Jake E & Andreas Solveström
Release me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Please come to me
Oh, serendipity
Andreas Solveström
As they try to hunt me down
I live my life by their command
I thought I've seen it all
What is the plan? (What is the plan, what is the plan)
I shouldn't have to fight alone
This is a fragile moment
Release me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Serendipity
The way to set us free
'Cause every time I think it over
It comes clear to me
Elize Ryd, Jake E & Andreas Solveström
Release me
Elize Ryd & Jake E
Please come to me
Elize Ryd, Jake E & Andreas Solveström
Oh, serendipity
The song "Serendipity" by Amaranthe talks about the struggle to find oneself and be free from the constraints and expectations of others. Elize Ryd sings about how she has been judged in the past, but she is getting stronger and searching for ways to be her true self. Andreas Solveström follows, admitting that he has fallen from grace and feels like there is a hazard lurking, but he takes away the feeling of not being able to see. Ryd and Jake E sing together in the chorus about how serendipity is the way to set themselves free because every time they think it over, it becomes clear to them. They ask to be released from these feelings and for serendipity to come to them.
Jake E then speaks about his anxiety and how he blames it for feeling detained in his dreams. However, he is getting stronger and sees a message in these struggles, that it is his destiny to come back. Solveström sings about how one fallen enemy leads to fading entropy, but it's important to release pain like a heavy rain. The song closes with the group united in asking for serendipity to set them free from living their lives by the commands of others and to not fight alone in this fragile moment.
Overall, the song talks about the struggle of finding oneself and being free from external constraints. It emphasizes the importance of perseverance and embracing the unexpected, or serendipity, to truly be free.
