No Worries
Amateur Blonde Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You made your bed,
Now just sleep in it,
And dreams will cut the words out.

I grind my teeth,
Grind my teeth to chalk,
Finding words to say to you.
Any fool,
Fool can carry on,
With grand delusions.

Any dog,
Dog like me could find,
The best way through the fence...
You just don't think about the time.
You just don't focus on the time. Oh,

Of all the things you planned and never did.
Of all the things you asked of me...

While you worried 'bout the time.
You just worried 'bout the time.
Oh, oh, oh
Ohhhhhhhh

This neighborhood,
This hood's a border town,
Plagued by numbers.

This fallen tree,
Tree turned into boards,
Boarding-up the doors to you.

Of all the things you planned and never did.
Of all the things you asked of me...
All the things you said, and never did.
Oh all the things you promised me.

All the things you ask
All the things you ask

Overall Meaning

These lyrics present a somewhat somber and reflective tone, accompanied by a slow-paced melody. The first two lines "you made your bed, now just sleep in it, and dreams will cut the words out" are a reminder of the consequences of one's choices and the importance of accepting them. The following lines "I grind my teeth to chalk, finding words to say to you" portray the struggle of communication and confrontation, especially when things have gone wrong.

The chorus "any fool can carry on with grand delusions, any dog like me could find the best way through the fence... you just don't think about the time, you just don't focus on the time" is an introspection of personal shortcomings and mistakes, a realization that sometimes we may have been ignorant and careless about important things until it's too late. The repetition of "you just don't think about the time" emphasizes the importance of being present and mindful of every moment.

The second verse takes on a more melancholic approach, describing the surrounding neighborhood as a "border town plagued by numbers." The phrase "fallen tree turned into boards, boarding up the doors to you" could represent the loss of opportunity or hope. The repeated lines "of all the things you planned and never did, of all the things you asked of me" may be a melancholy reflection over lost potential, regret over things that were never accomplished or achieved.

Can anyone find a version without the static????? On the walking dead it sounded so clear wtf lol

@AmateurBlonde

This is the original version of my 2012 song. There is zero static. The version synced in TWD was taken from the layers of my original home recording, heavily edited, and ultimately mixed into their program the way they wanted. Beggars can’t be choosers here, but I still prefer my original.
