1. Ambrosia was… Read Full Bio ↴Ambrosia has been the name of at least five artists:
1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.

Rūdolfs Rūtenbergs - guitars;
Uldis Andersons - bass;
Miks Riekstiņš (IndyGo) - drums.
Former members:

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan Čikotić and Hana Hadžajlić, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan Muratović and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin Čehović joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

Endings
Ambrosia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And the reason to live is clear
We've waited 'till who knows when
For the time to begin again
It's more than the change of time
It's something that's in all our minds
That no matter where or when
For endings are only
And the end is near
Of things we have grown to fear
We worry and reason why
With the times that change our lives
But more than the changing time
Is the image in all our minds
Of where it should be or when
For endings are always
Places where all things begin
Oh, look at the sun
On every stage, in everyone
Ah, stand in the light
As we get on, we will put up a fight
(Places where) all things begin...
The song "Endings" by Ambrosia is a thoughtful contemplation on the cyclical nature of life. The lyrics express the idea that endings are not something to fear, but rather they are the starting points for new beginnings. The opening lines declare that the "season of life is here" and that the "reason to live is clear." After waiting for an unspecified amount of time, the time has finally come for new things to begin.
The lyrics suggest that endings can be difficult because they force us to confront our fears and worries about the future. We worry and reason why with the times that change our lives. However, the song encourages us to focus on the positive aspect of endings; they are the places where all things begin. This idea of rebirth is reinforced throughout the song. The verse "more than the changing time is the image in all our minds of where it should be or when" suggests that we are all capable of creating a new beginning by visualizing where we want to be.
The song's bridge, "Oh, look at the sun on every stage, in everyone. Ah, stand in the light as we get on, we will put up a fight" seems to suggest that we should embrace the light and warmth of the sun as a symbol of the new beginning. It encourages us to stand up and fight for what we want and not be afraid of the unknown. In the end, the song affirms that endings are actually beginnings, and that we should welcome them as such.

The season of life is here
The time for living is now
And the reason to live is clear
We know why we must go on
We've waited 'till who knows when
We've been unsure of when to start
For the time to begin again
To start anew, to restart
It's more than the change of time
It's more than just a shift in time
It's something that's in all our minds
It's a feeling that we can all sense
That no matter where or when
No matter the place or time
For endings are only
Endings are nothing but
Places where all things begin
The start of all things new
And the end is near
The end is approaching
Of things we have grown to fear
Things that once scared us
We worry and reason why
We fret and wonder why
With the times that change our lives
As our lives evolve
But more than the changing time
It's not just about the passage of time
Is the image in all our minds
It's the vision we all hold
Of where it should be or when
Of the ideal place or time
For endings are always
Endings are invariably
Places where all things begin
The genesis of all anew
Oh, look at the sun
The sight of the sun
On every stage, in everyone
Illuminating all, everywhere
Ah, stand in the light
Bask in the radiance
As we get on, we will put up a fight
We'll rise to any challenge
(Places where) all things begin...
(The start of) all things anew...

A master piece - wish more music like this is played on the radio
@x0539p
They don’t write music like this anymore. We were blessed to grow up in the 70’s and 80’s. Miss all the good music makers.
@mikemorris6441
What a freaking awesome band. Why does it seem that only a few appreciate the truly talented? Musicians see what it takes to make GOOD music. Don’t get me wrong, there are those who do not play that “get it”. Thanks for the share it really takes me back.

It didn't hurt that James Guthrie and Alan Parsons produced 2 of their best albums.

Great song. What an awesome find. David Pack is one of the great vocalists of our time in my opinion.

The vocal arrangements at the end of this song are just gorgeous. Ambrosia were one of a small handful of bands who as strong vocally as they were instrumentally.
You don't hear vocal arrangements like this anymore, it's a lost art. There was no auto tune in Ambrosia's days
@mgourley1234
Agree. Yes would be in that hand full
@jamievidd775
