1. Ambrosia was… Read Full Bio ↴Ambrosia has been the name of at least five artists:
1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.
Final lineup:
Andrejs Irbēns (Āres) - vocals;
Jānis Osis (Nuvo, Skyforger) - guitars, backing vocals (formerly vocals);
Rūdolfs Rūtenbergs - guitars;
Uldis Andersons - bass;
Miks Riekstiņš (IndyGo) - drums.
Former members:
Arnis Āboliņš - bass;
Jurģis Priedītis (Age of Stones) - bass.

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan Čikotić and Hana Hadžajlić, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan Muratović and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin Čehović joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

Well, I think you know I'm not the one who lied
And now it's all behind us and we both play out our lives
But the years don't change the way I feel inside
So we play the game out
Though it feels the same now are you missin' me?
Well now, baby just be aware
I gave to you my heart and soul
Now I just need to let you know
You're part of me that I just can't let go, go
Well, tell me somethin' baby is there still some thing inside
To remind you of the way it used to be?
And how the years have rolled by still there's somethin' I must say
No one ever could have loved you more than me
So I'm passin' time now
Wishin' you were mine now are you missin' me?
Well you know it's not too late
Oh, how long must I wait oh, to hear you say
I gave to you my heart and soul
Now I just need to let you know
You're part of me that I just can't let go, go
And I need your love, and I need your love
Everywhere I go there's a memory and if you can't decide on me
Well you gotta make up your mind
Someday you're gonna find you just might need me
Oh, baby, ooh
Well now, baby just be aware
Of how much I still care
Oh, I need your love
I gave to you my heart and soul
Now I just need to let you know
You're part of me that I just can't let
Part of me that I just can't let
Part of me that I just can't let go
Can't let go, babe, no
But I need you baby, so bad, baby
I just can't let go, no, baby
No matter how many years we're apart
I still hold you here in my heart, baby
Can't let go, babe, no, no
Ah, just can't let go, just can't let go
Yeah, ooh
The lyrics in "I Just Can't Let Go" by Ambrosia describe a situation where two people who have been apart for many years still hold deep feelings for each other. The singer of the song addresses the other person, asking whether there is something left inside that reminds them of their past relationship. They assure the other person that no one could have loved them more than they did and that they still care deeply for them. The singer yearns for the other person's love and asks them to consider whether they might need them someday.
The lyrics paint a picture of a love that has endured despite time and distance. The singer is willing to wait and yearns for the other person's affection. The song's melody is melancholic, adding to the sense of longing conveyed in the lyrics.
Overall, "I Just Can't Let Go" is a love song that speaks to the enduring power of deep affection. The singer's words capture the heartache and yearning of someone who still holds a flame for the one they love.

How was this song NOT a huge hit? Great lyrics, super soulful music, and fantastic voices! SO much better than 99% of music nowadays.

Completely agree, Roger. These guys are so far above the pack. Here on YouTube you can find Pack, Ingram and Michael McDonald performing Maria from West Side Story in a performance from heaven. Making a seeming wasteland of most of what is tossed at our feet as popular music currently.

Completely agree! Wonderful and beautiful, and the harmony with all their voices.... Love Love Love it ♥️
