1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan Čikotić and Hana Hadžajlić, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan Muratović and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin Čehović joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

Kamikaze
Ambrosia Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But here am I, out flyin' again
Who knows if I'm wrong or right?
But when time has ended this flight
This cone of life will be at an end
When you're a kamikaze
Fly more from inspiration than for joy
Though they think I'm crazy
I've heard them say that life is easy
Then why am I at zero again?
I drink from the sake cup
I leave when the rising sun's up
And take my fate and fear to the skies
When you're a kamikaze
Fly more from inspiration than for joy
Think I'm crazy
May be just an ordinary boy
I've heard them say the war is over
But here am I, out flyin' again
Who knows if I'm wrong or right?
But when time has ended this flight
This cone of life will be at an end
When you're a kamikaze
Fly more from inspiration than for joy
Think I'm crazy
Kamikaze
I'm a kamikaze
Yes, I'm a kamikaze
Oh, A kamikaze
The lyrics of "Kamikaze" by Ambrosia seem to be referencing the notion of being a kamikaze pilot in wartime Japan. The song talks about flying, and the sense of taking risks and living dangerously. There is a strong suggestion here that in order to truly live life, one must be willing to put oneself in harm's way. The song seems to be asking the question of what it really means to be alive, and whether the act of taking risks and embracing danger is a fundamental part of that experience.
The singer of the song is a kamikaze pilot, someone who is driven to fly more for inspiration than for joy. He acknowledges that others may think he is crazy, but he insists that he is just an ordinary boy, someone who is simply trying to make sense of his place in the world. He drinks from the sake cup and takes his fate and fear to the skies, suggesting that he is at peace with his destiny and has come to terms with the risks that he is taking.
Overall, "Kamikaze" is a song that explores the idea of living life to the fullest, and the ways in which people are able to find meaning in the face of danger and uncertainty. It is a powerful and moving ballad that speaks to the human drive for adventure and excitement, even in the darkest of times.

I've heard them say the war is over
I have been told that the strife has ceased
But here am I, out flyin' again
Yet here I am, soaring through the skies once more
Who knows if I'm wrong or right?
I do not know if my actions are proper or misguided
But when time has ended this flight
But when this pursuit comes to a close
This cone of life will be at an end
This existence of mine will come to an abrupt finish
When you're a kamikaze
As a kamikaze
Fly more from inspiration than for joy
My flights are propelled by inspiration rather than simple pleasure
Though they think I'm crazy
Even if others perceive me as being deranged
I'm really just an ordinary boy
I am just like any other person
I've heard them say that life is easy
People have claimed that life is simple
Then why am I at zero again?
So why do I find myself starting from nothing once more
I drink from the sake cup
I indulge in the drink known as sake
I leave when the rising sun's up
I depart at dawn
And take my fate and fear to the skies
And I carry my destiny and apprehension with me while I am airborne
Kamikaze
Kamikaze
I'm a kamikaze
I am a kamikaze
Yes, I'm a kamikaze
Indeed, I am a kamikaze
Oh, A kamikaze
Oh, a kamikaze
