1. Ambrosia was… Read Full Bio ↴Ambrosia has been the name of at least five artists:
1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.

Rūdolfs Rūtenbergs - guitars;
Uldis Andersons - bass;
Miks Riekstiņš (IndyGo) - drums.

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan Čikotić and Hana Hadžajlić, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan Muratović and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin Čehović joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

Ambrosia Lyrics

Well I gotta catch a plane
Check on out of L.A.
To somewhere I've never traveled
I'm on my way
Yeah, I'm ready
So, sit back in your chair
'Cause I'll be there soon
Just kick off your shoes
Keep your head on steady
You gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I won't let you down
'Cause I'm ready right now
You gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I can't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready
I was raised up in the middle
Of a house full of hell
And I'm lucky to be here
With something to tell
Glad those days are behind me
Oh, yes I am
Well, the odds are against me
But I've still got the fight
I've learned the hard way
Of doin' it right
Now I'm ready
I said you gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I can't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready right now
You gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I won't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready
Said I'm ready
Yeah, yeah
I said you gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I can't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready right now
Said you gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I won't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready right now now
You gave me the feelin'
And the love I need to go on
And I can't wait no more
'Cause I'm ready
Said I'm ready
Oh, right now
Mmm, said I'm ready (Ready)
Well, I'm ready (Well, I'm ready)
Yeah, I'm ready
The lyrics of "Ready" by Ambrosia speak about the singer's desire to move forward in life, leaving behind the troubles and issues that haunted them in the past. The singer speaks about leaving Los Angeles and traveling to a new place where they have never been before, ready to start a new chapter in their life. The song captures the singer's sense of being prepared for what's to come, and their eagerness to move on. The lines "You gave me the feeling and the love I need to go on" suggest that the singer has found the strength to leave their past behind, thanks to the love and support of someone close to them.
The line "I was raised up in the middle of a house full of hell" speaks to the difficult upbringing that the singer had, but they're grateful to have survived it and come out on the other side with something to share. The lines "Well, the odds are against me, but I've still got the fight, I've learned the hard way of doin' it right, Now I'm ready" suggest that the singer has overcome the odds and is ready to take on whatever comes next. In the end, they declare that they're "ready right now" and excited to start their new journey.
