1. Ambrosia was… Read Full Bio ↴Ambrosia has been the name of at least five artists:
1. Ambrosia was a California, United States band formed by David Pack (guitars, vocals), Christopher North (keyboards), Burleigh Drummond (drums) and Joe Puerta (bass, vocals). On their self-titled LP in 1974, they blended quirky progressive rock with lush harmonies and scored hits with the offbeat song Nice, Nice, Very Nice and the ballad Holdin' on to Yesterday. Their subsequent albums focussed more and more on the pop ballads and less and less on the progressive elements, and while they had some success with singles, they called it quits after 1982's Road Island. Ambrosia re-formed in the late 90s and continue to tour and enterain their fans. A live CD Live at the Galaxy was released in 2002, and they are currently recording a new studio album that long time fans are hoping will be released in 2009.
2. Ambrosia was a Latvian hardcore punk band formed in Valmiera, Latvia in 2005.
The band has toured around Latvia and Estonia and became one of the best-known newcomers to the Latvian hardcore scene. Their music is also included on music compilation Latvian Hardcore Punk Volume 5.
Ambrosia split up in September 2011 and played one-off reunion show in July 2014.

3. Ambrosia was formed in summer 2008 by Adnan ÄikotiÄ and Hana HadžajliÄ, who wanted to play brutal death metal. Soon Adnan MuratoviÄ and Hana's brother joined the band. After few rehearsals Hana's brother left the band and we had to seek for another drummer. In a few months the band had changed few drummers who played on the concerts. Later Edin ÄehoviÄ joined as a second guitar player, and Boris Uložnik replaced Hana.

THAT'S WERE IV'E BEEN TODAY
SOMEWHERE BEYOND ALL REASON
BUT IT CAME THE ONLY WAY
I COULD FIND IT SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME
I CAN FIND IT
THAT'S WHAT I FINALLY SEE
AND WHEN I'M THERE I FEEL LOVE
SO THERE I ALWAYS WANT TO BE
I BELIEVE IT
BELIEVE IN MYSELF
I HAVE SEEN IT
AND TEHERE'S A DAY WHEN YOU'LL WAKE
WITH THE SUN IN YOUR EYES
HEARING A VOICE THAT IS CALLING
WITHIN YOU TO RISE
(RISE)
SOMEDAY I'LL BE THERE
THOUGH I KNOW NOT
WHERE I GO
THERE I'LL BE
WHEN I GO
SOMEWHERE I'D NEVER TRAVELLED
THAT'S WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
AND AS MY DREAMS UNRAVEL
I LONG TO GO THAT WAY AGAIN
I AM WAITING
WAITING TO TAKE YOU THERE NO MORE WAITING
(OFF YOU GO)
The lyrics of Ambrosia's song, Somewhere I've Never Travelled, explore the theme of self-discovery and the journey to find oneself. The opening lines of the song, "Somewhere I've never travelled, that's where I've been today," suggest that the singer has gone on a journey to a place they have never been before, either physically or emotionally. The second line, "Somewhere beyond all reason but it came the only way," further emphasizes the unconventional nature of the journey and the fact that it was necessary for the singer to experience in order to find what they were looking for.
The refrain of the song, "I could find it something inside of me, I can find it," underscores the idea that the singer's journey was one of self-discovery and that they found what they were looking for within themselves. The second verse, "Someplace I've always dreamed of, that's what I finally see, and when I'm there I feel love, so there I always want to be," suggests that the singer has found a sense of belonging and purpose in this new place or state of mind. The third verse, "And there's a day when you'll wake with the sun in your eyes, hearing a voice that is calling within you to rise," encourages the listener to embark on their own journey of self-discovery.
Overall, Somewhere I've Never Travelled is a song about the search for identity and the sense of purpose that comes with finding oneself. The lyrics encourage the listener to take risks and explore beyond their comfort zone in order to discover who they truly are.

Benoit VanheesĀ I definitely hear you. But it seems like a pretty obvious devolution to me....but they remained experts at what they did. Ā
It seems obvious that this is amazing...while "How Much Much I Feel" is simply formulaic pop.
I always liked Yes--even 'Owner of a Lonely Heart'! Hella catchy! (I was always underwhelmed by The Buggles..but that's a different conversation.)
A good example from ancient times is Spandau Ballet. They're known for very smarmy Caucasian soul music....whereas they BEGAN as a wonderfully inventive New Romantic/Adam Ant kinda thing. Then everything changed with "True."
Don't get me wrong. I will totally follow some bands throughout their changes. XTC has gone through several different sounds but I Ā eventually always love them.

Really never understood why this album was pretty much ignored, it's still a favorite.
Dave Thompson
Truly an inspired band of great musicians in one of the greatest decades in Music.
GrandFunalley Media
Joe Puerto's bass work has always inspired me. Understated, non-conventional chords with a dose of complexity. Just a fantastic band!

There is a Moog Taurus at work also...
Husky Nation
One of the more relevant bands of our time - for those of us who took the time to really listen - this music transcends Ā and will forever be the biggest part of me!

A stunning album which I originally bought as an LP from a tiny, dark little record shop in Burnley, Lancashire in the early 70's. Have loved the whole LP ever since and almost played it to destruction until the CD release came along. Even now, 40 years later, it's still one of my favourites. A superbly inventive and fascinating album.

i first heard this about 2 months ago on Soma FM's Left Coast 70's radio and it immediately blew me away - how have i never heard this before?!
they way it changes from one song to another is excellent - can't stop playing it now!

That Left Coast 70s station also brought me to Ambrosia but not to this song, or even this album. I donāt own any of their albums but that is an oversight.
Baby Jessica's Cheekbones
They're first two albums were awesome, and then they went top 40.

@Baby Jessica's Cheekbones In hindsight even their commercial stuff isn't so bad.
