I work for the company. I have recently accepted an offer from another company (as of last Friday). I never worked in claims but everything you mentioned was pretty spot on. They are somewhat pick and choose when paying out claims from what I hear. Also, they are fairly expensive in terms of premium because of the systems they use not being as profitable as expected. They try to spin it as “you’ll have a local agent, 24 hour access to claims care center and sales and service care center.” But as someone who serviced and sold polices, it’s very difficult to show the perceived value.

And you are so right about the agents. Many of them are horrible when insuring customers properly. However, the majority of them are great.

Now don’t get me wrong, the company is great and they do great things for the community, but it just seems like they aren’t as good as they used to be for whatever reason. If you’re going to insure yourself, just be weary. That is true for most companies though I guess.

Had AmFam for more than 20 years and was happy for auto and home. They finally got to high and the agent was just awful, refusing to give me a quote on an additional policy. It was just bizarre.

Here’s something for you guys to see—> They want you to take your own pictures of property damage or automotive damage and then send it to their website which makes it harder for you but easier for them while likely they’re doing this so that’s you lose all your interest and even care about getting claims such as this because I have never heard a company that would do such a thing is this to make me take pictures of dammit someone did to my car and then sending this to their website and filling out information where the fuck is their insurance adjusters and all people who are supposed to come out and do this shit for us???!!! I’m getting a lawyer fuck this!

Listing prices of diff companies is good but you need to figure out the coverage you need first then see what your cost options are
