Falling
Amerie Lyrics
Can I give you my trust?
I'm falling
Can I give you my thoughts?
I'm falling
If I give them to you
I'm falling
Will you know what to do?
I'm falling
Hey understand I'm not used to letting go
But you're not to blame, so please don't ever change
And forgive me if I, I hesitate
(Over and over and over again)
I'm scared to lose
(Over and over and over again)
That's why I'm asking you
Can I give you my trust?
(Oh)
I'm falling
Can I give you my thoughts?
(Oh)
I'm falling
If I give them to you
(Can I give them babe)
I'm falling
(Oh can I give them babe)
Will you know what to do?
I'm falling
Now I know that you say you'll never do me wrong
And I do believe right here is where I belong
But I'm scared to move
(I don't know, I don't know, don't know)
Said I don't know what to do
(I don't know, I don't know, don't know)
(Over and over and over again)
Hey, see I'm so scared to lose
(Over and over and over again)
That's why I'm asking you baby
Can I give you my trust?
(Don't you know it baby)
I'm falling
(Hey)
Can I give you my thoughts?
(Said I want to let go)
I'm falling
(But I'm scared to let go)
If I give them to you
(Oh)
I'm falling
(boy will you know)
Will you know what to do?
(I'm falling)
I'm falling
Everything that you said
Like how your life has changed
Everything that you do
(Yeah)
You didn't think you had in you
Three years ago
(Oh)
We didn't think that this could be true
(How could we know it baby)
Now my heart, my life,
my everything is you
(My everything is you)
Can I give you my trust?
I'm falling
(Oh)
Can I give you my thoughts?
(Hey)
I'm falling
If I give them to you
(If I give it to you)
I'm falling
(will you know what to do)
Will you know what to do?
(Whoo)
I'm falling
Can I give you my trust?
(I want to say baby)
I'm falling
(We were meant to be)
Can I give you my thoughts?
I'm falling
(Oh, yeah)
If I give them to you
(I need to know baby)
I'm falling
(That you'll be there for me)
Will you know what to do?
(Oh)
I'm falling
(But you know that I)
I don't know, I don't know, don't know
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I'm falling
I don't know, I don't know, don't know
I don't know, I don't know

"1 Thing" went to the top of the charts in various international markets, including the US, UK and others around the world. It earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance (the album "Touch" was also nominated for the "Best Contemporary R&B Album" Grammy ). The album sold an estimated 800,000 copies worldwide and went gold in the US and silver in the UK.
Amerie's third album 'Because I Love It' was released in the UK , Europe and Asia in 2007. The single "Take Control" was released in October 2006, and it enjoyed international success. The second single "Gotta Work" did not fare as well in the charts, despite receiving heavy airplay on UK and European music video channels. The album has sold a combined total of 310,000 copies worldwide and is her most critically acclaimed album.
In late 2007, was reported that Amerie had left her label Columbia Records, and signed with the Island Def Jam Music Group.
Amerie revealed the album title to be changed from 'Breakups To Makeups' to 'In Love & War'. Amerie also announced that her first single off the album will be titled "Why R U?" produced by The Buchanans. The single premiered online in the week of May 11th and received fairly mixed reviews. The track itself is even compared to Mary J. Blige's "What's The 411?" and "My Life" album, because of the old school feel.
Amerie changed her artist name to Ameriie (extra I) in 2010. She said that it gave her more positive energy as an artist. She changed her artist name back to Amerie (without the extra I) with the double EP releases '4AM Mulholland' and 'After 4AM' in 2018.
Right now her main focus is on books, youtube channel and her son and husband.

I just love Amerie. God it kills me how UNDERRATED and UNDER APPRECIATED this woman is as an artist. It just boggles my mind honestly. "All I Have" TO THIS DAY HAS NOT SOLD A MILLION COPIES AND THAT IS TROUBLING!!!!! That album is FUCKING CLASSIC, WTF! CLASSIC RNB. I'm just confused when it comes to Ameries career. She is beautiful and talented. Why she is not thriving with multi platinum albums is BEYOND ME. Amerie is an amazing artist, unfortunately she may never get the props she deserves. Voice sent from heaven.

I think it was the usual labor/manager drama. Truly a shame. I love her sound.

JJ I can understand that perspective. Touch was definitely a good album. I guess I'm just a little biased b/c I'm a hardcore R&B fan, and Touch didn't really 'feel' that way to me
J J
Adonis M I'd say Touch had the same sound. If nothing else, it does at least sound like the production picked up where All I Have left off. They're both certified classic in my book, but Love & War is where she veered off course
jvnice
ALL her songs were produced so well

jvnic3 this shit used to go hard in a Sebring in 06, production quality is timeless
