There wasn’t actually like any interrelation of the songs, but when it came to my lyrics, “Tell her what I want” is from the song. “Zig-a-zigah"—they made up this word. That’s just really cool. So, yeah. I had to get it approved by every Spice Girl, and I had to get it approved by the guy who created the Spice Girls, Simon Fuller.
They all were just amazing at letting us do it. “Spice Girl” wasn’t even going to be put out, or on the album, because I just thought, “Oh, this will never get approved.” Like the Spice Girls are just so world-renowned, they won’t even care for a rapper to release a song.
