The ties of kinship are no more, and sons die by their fathers' hand. Amidst this backdrop, two men meet on the battlefield, with their eyes full of hate. They share the blood of once proud men, yet foes they have become. One fights for truth, the other for faith - death will be their fate.
The second verse is a repetition of the first, with one key difference. This time, it is two brothers who are meeting in battle instead of two men. They also share the blood of once proud men, yet no victory and no defeat will be had. To them, death is the only way out. In each case, the chorus rings out to remind us that this is an age of bloodshed, and it comes with all its violence and brutality.
