Free Through Eternity
Amy Ray Lyrics

Love without warning
Peace 'cause there's no disguising it
When it's love, you can't hide from it
Now, I don't want to be the shadow
When you find your new life
I only want to hold you in the dead of night
But you don't have to search for me
You are free through eternity
Now, I have learned to sing with a steady mind
Fill the void, and pass the time
And face this ground, and erase the blue
When I leave the scene, it all comes down to you
You don't have to search for me
And you don't have to set yourself free
You are free through eternity
Now I know it's gotta be hard to find
That blessed balance - that fine line
But turn around and bless me
Or let me go in peace
I can meet you halfway
And give you all you need
But you don't have to search for me
And you don't ever have to set yourself free
You are free
Eternity
Eternity
You are free eternally
You are free
The lyrics of Amy Ray's "Free Through Eternity" convey a sense of profound love and acceptance. The song opens with the lines "Soft in the morning, love without warning," setting a gentle and reassuring tone. Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes that true love cannot be hidden or disguised, and encourages her beloved to embrace their own freedom instead of searching for her. She offers the possibility of meeting halfway, but ultimately conveys acceptance of whatever path her loved one chooses.
The lyrics are infused with imagery of time and eternity, as well as the idea of letting go. The singer refers to "eternity" multiple times, emphasizing the lasting nature of their love, even if they are physically apart. She also acknowledges the difficulty of finding balance in life and relationships, but offers her support and understanding.
Overall, "Free Through Eternity" is a song about unconditional love and acceptance, and the idea that true freedom comes from within.
