In 2007 they published Hau o Hïu, with which they became known in wider sectors of the public, although they had been publishing references with a Creative Commons license since 2004 and always under Les Petites Coses Records as Teràpia musical (2004). In 2009 they released Himalaya with which they received very good reviews for having refined the minimalist style. During the preparation of the album Hannah (2010), Raül Cuevas (Nanouk Produccions) filmed a documentary that premiered at the "In-Edit Beefeater" festival under the title of From Texas to Arbúcies. Mondosonoro magazine also placed them among the best of the year.
In September 2013 they released Hannibal, again co-owned by BCore Disc and Les Petites Coses Records. The album represented a stylistic turn, delving into more obscure and dense sounds. In February 2017 Anímic published their sixth album, Skin.

i res ja no m'espanta
surto de la casa
i l'estructura ja no aguanta
ets tu qui m'ha penjat aquí dalt
entro dins la casa i només queda l'esperança
ets tu qui m'ha penjat aquí dalt
ara no em deixis caure com a un animal
m'és tan indiferent el que passa dintre les llars
quan obres la tanca, quan tanques les mans
The song "Trenco Una Branca" by Anímic is a beautiful piece that portrays a sense of independence, courage, and resilience in life. The lyrics begin with "trenco una branca," which means "I break a branch" in English. This could symbolize a change or a transition in life, as breaking a branch creates a divide or separation from what once was. The lyrics go on to say that there is no longer any fear, and the structure cannot hold back the singer anymore. This could represent a person breaking free from societal norms and expectations to pave their path.
The singer acknowledges that they have been hung on high by someone, but they have the confidence to trust themselves not to fall like an animal. The lyrics speak of indifference towards what happens inside the homes when the fence opens and closes. This might mean that the singer has disconnected themselves from their past or is choosing not to let it affect them. The second half of the song talks about entering a house with hope and leaving with only hope. The singer throws a spear and fills themselves with confidence and enters the house. However, it seems they leave with nothing but hope, representing how sometimes we enter situations with high expectations, but we leave with nothing but the hope that things will be better someday.
Overall, "Trenco Una Branca" is a powerful song that portrays the emotional journey of a person who has the courage to break free from the norm and embrace their individuality, despite the challenges that come with it.
