In 2007 they published Hau o Hïu, with which they became known in wider sectors of the public, although they had been publishing references with a Creative Commons license since 2004 and always under Les Petites Coses Records as Teràpia musical (2004). In 2009 they released Himalaya with which they received very good reviews for having refined the minimalist style. During the preparation of the album Hannah (2010), Raül Cuevas (Nanouk Produccions) filmed a documentary that premiered at the "In-Edit Beefeater" festival under the title of From Texas to Arbúcies. Mondosonoro magazine also placed them among the best of the year.
In September 2013 they released Hannibal, again co-owned by BCore Disc and Les Petites Coses Records. The album represented a stylistic turn, delving into more obscure and dense sounds. In February 2017 Anímic published their sixth album, Skin.

Anímic Lyrics

With a muddy, muddy way
And i can't find my Wellington boots
To not get my feet wet
It's a muddy, rainy day
For a muddy muddy day
And I can't find my umbrella
To not get my hair wet
In my muddy daily life
And I can't find that person
I need to talk to in the street
Next to mine, where could he be?
Muddy, muddy day
In a muddy rainy way
And I can't listen to the words
I want to listen to
But that I can't find
Because I don't know where they are
It's early morning
And you can't find your slippers
The floorboards creek
As you raise to you toes
And your head feels light
As you try to remember
What happiness was at Christmas
These lyrics from Anímic's song "around" seem to describe a sense of frustration and longing amidst a gloomy, muddy, and rainy day. The repetitive mention of the muddy environment reflects a feeling of being stuck and unable to navigate through life smoothly. The references to Wellington boots and an umbrella highlight the desire to protect oneself physically from the wetness and discomfort. This can also be seen as a metaphor for seeking some kind of emotional protection or stability.
In the second stanza, the focus shifts to the inability to find someone important to talk to. This person seems to hold significance, perhaps as a confidant or a source of guidance. The singer is searching for this person in the street next to theirs, emphasizing the closeness and yet frustration of not being able to connect.
Continuing with the theme of searching, the third stanza broadens to a more abstract level. The lyrics suggest feeling lost and unable to find something meaningful within the chaotic and rainy circumstances. The use of the word "listen" implies an eagerness to absorb certain words or messages that hold personal significance. However, the singer feels detached from these words and is uncertain of where to find them. This could represent a struggle to find clarity or purpose in life.
The final stanza takes a slightly different direction, shifting towards a more introspective perspective. It portrays a hazy and confused state of mind, possibly just after waking up. The mention of not being able to find slippers and the creaking floorboards evoke a sense of disorientation. The line about trying to remember what happiness was like at Christmas suggests a longing for past moments of joy and contentment, highlighting a sense of yearning for a simpler and happier time.
Overall, these lyrics in the song "around" by Anímic convey a sense of frustration, longing, and the struggle to find meaning in a muddy and unpredictable world. The imagery used throughout portrays a desire for protection, connection, and a search for clarity and happiness.
