Balance
Ana Belén Lyrics

Quero dancar con voce
Entra en la rueda moreno por ver
Oh Balance, Balance.
Cuando por mi lado pasas
Fingiendo que no me ves
Mi corazón casi se despedaza
Oh Balance, Balance
Quero dancar con voce
Entra en la rueda moreno por ver
Oh Balance, Balance.
Mi professor fuiste un día
Más tarde me consolé
De mis fracasos why de tus mentiras.
Oh Balance, Balance.
Oh Balance, Balance
Quero dancar con voce
Entra en la rueda moreno por ver
Oh Balance, Balance.
Nunca dijiste, lo siento
Nunca explicaste, por qué
Todos los males se curan al tiempo
Del Balance, Balance.
Oh Balance, Balance
Quero dancar con voce
Entra na roda moreno pra ver
Oh Balance, Balance.
The song "Balance" by Ana Belén is about seeking balance in life, represented through the metaphor of dance. The repeated phrase "Oh Balance, Balance" serves as both a plea and a reminder to the singer to pursue balance in their life. The lyrics also convey feelings of hurt and betrayal, particularly in the lines "Cuando por mi lado pasas/Fingiendo que no me ves/Mi corazón casi se despedaza" (When you pass by my side/Pretending you don't see me/My heart almost breaks). Despite this pain, the singer has found a way to move on from their past (represented by their former teacher and his lies) and sees balance as a pathway to healing.
The references to "moreno" and "rueda" suggest a specific type of dance: the rueda de casino, a traditional Cuban style of salsa dance performed in a group, often with a caller who leads different moves. This dance involves constantly shifting partners and requires a sense of balance and rhythm to maintain the flow. By wanting to dance with the "moreno" (a term often used to describe a dark-skinned man), the singer hints at an attraction to this person but also emphasizes the importance of balance in their potential relationship.
