Me Dice Ven

Why yo le juro que no prometo
Entonces alza libre el vuelo
Dejando pistas que me tropiezo.
Nada me puede dar a cambio
Pero me abraza con sus encantos.
Alguna vez murió de amores
Por eso no escucha mis canciones.
Me dice ven
Pero si voy
Se echa a volar
De donde estoy.
Ayer delante de mis ojos
Le ví jugar why reír con otros
Why yo que soy también culpable
Volví la cara por no marcharme.
Hoy que decido abrir mis alas
Me envía cartas con su mirada
Así de lejos sin quererlo
Deja una huella por si le encuentro.
Me dice ven
Pero si voy
Se echa a volar
De donde estoy.
Ahora camino del olvido
Sigo esperando por sus latidos.
Si un día pasas por su lado
Dale tu amor why no le hagas daño.
Ana Belen's song "Me Dice Ven" tells the story of a complicated relationship where one person is asking for love, but the other cannot make any promises. The opening lines "Sin voz me pide amor eterno, yo le juro que no prometo" set the tone for the song, with one person asking for more than the other can give. The next lines "Entonces alza libre el vuelo, dejando pistas que me tropiezo" suggest that this person is leaving, but not without leaving behind a trail of confusion for the singer.
The chorus of the song "Me dice ven, pero si voy se echa a volar de donde estoy" highlights the conflict between wanting to stay and wanting to leave. The subject asks the singer to come closer, but as soon as they do, they fly away, leaving the singer wanting more. The singer is unsure of how to proceed, and they feel stuck in a cycle of uncertainty.
The second verse of the song talks about the singer's guilt for not leaving when they should have. They saw the subject playing and laughing with others, but they couldn't bring themselves to walk away. The singer is now trying to move on from the relationship, but the subject keeps sending them messages, leaving behind a mark just in case the singer decides to return.
Overall, "Me Dice Ven" is a song about the complicated nature of relationships, where one person is unsure of what they want, and the other is left feeling lost and confused.

Why yo que soy también culpable
And as I am also culpable
Volví la cara por no marcharme.

Me envía cartas con su mirada
He sends me letters with his gaze
Así de lejos sin quererlo
Without meaning to, from afar
Deja una huella por si le encuentro.
He leaves a trace in case I find him
Ahora camino del olvido
Now I'm on the road to forgetfulness
Sigo esperando por sus latidos.
But I'm still waiting for his heartbeat
Si un día pasas por su lado
If one day you pass by his side
Dale tu amor why no le hagas daño.
Give him your love and don't hurt him.
