The lyrics to Ana Diaz's song Hård mot världen mjuk mot mig tell the story of two childhood friends who were able to find happiness in a simpler time, but as they grew up, the world became harsh and unyielding. The song reminisces about the past and the innocence of youth, where they could eat popcorn with sugar and make guitars out of planks and wires. However, as the two friends grew older, the world started to change, and they were forced to confront the harsh realities of life. The line "Det finns krafter ingen ror på" (There are forces no one can row against) emphasizes that sometimes, the struggles of life can be difficult to overcome.
The chorus of the song, "Hård mot världen mjuk mot mig" (Hard on the world, soft on me) reflects the sentiment that even though the world can be tough, it's important to find compassion and kindness in oneself despite that. The lyric "Ingen dömer, ingen dömer dig" (No one judges, no one judges you) highlights the fact that it's important to be kind to oneself and not let others' judgments get in the way of finding one's own happiness.
The song also touches on the theme of deception, as the line "Det finns lögner som man går på" (There are lies that one walks on) suggests that there are people in the world who will deceive and manipulate others for their own benefit. Despite this, the song emphasizes the importance of finding happiness within oneself, as "Lyckan gömmer sig" (Happiness hides) but it can be found if one keeps looking.
Overall, the lyrics to Ana Diaz's Hård mot världen mjuk mot mig are relatable and poignant, and speak to the experiences of growing up and finding one's place in the world.
