Listening to this song on my trip cross country via train 7 years ago, I really felt myself lighten and let go. 7 years later and I’m just sitting here realizing that Anamanaguchi and this song in particular were the keys to my journey towards my own enlightenment. The amount of hate this speech gets really shows how broken all of us are. Leaning on our pride to say that we don’t need a deeper, healthier relationship with ourselves in order to remain in the illusion is a cop out. When we realize our mission, and particularly, our individual life purpose, we can better serve ourselves, our families, and our communities. This pride bullshit only leads to more hatred and elitism.
