1) A Hardcore/Metalcore band from Perth… Read Full Bio ↴Anchored may refer to two bands:
1) A Hardcore/Metalcore band from Perth, Australia
2) A Southern Rock band from Dallas, U.S
1) Anchored is a hardcore/metal band that started in 2009, since then they have played many shows in their home city, supporting touring bands such as For The Fallen Dreams, All Shall Perish, In Hearts Wake, Northlane, Thy Art Is Murder and Hand of Mercy. Anchored released their first E.P in 2011 titled "Time Will Tell" and have since released a single from their upcoming split release with Hallower and The Ocean The Sky - "Lost" featuring guest vocals from Jake Taylor of In Hearts Wake.
2)Texas has been known to breed some of the loudest and hard-rockin’ bands this side of Dallas and this new gang of five are definitely no exception. Straight out of the saloons and strip clubs comes ANCHORED, a hard-edged rock unit that packs as much pop as their punch when they unleash their brand of “Dirty Texas Rock”. Crossing the tainted lines between Shinedown, Nickelback and Stone Temple Pilots, these Dallas transplants will be bringing their Southern noise to the masses in 2010 and everybody is invited.
Formed in the spring of 2009 as a new project by ex-Advent singer Brandan Narrell whose chance meeting with guitarist B.G. Simpson (formally of South Florida alternative rockers Waking Season) sparked a friendship and partnership after being introduced by Splender leader Waymon Boone. Joining the tandem is drummer Matty Clark, who previously held down drum duties for the Sacramento, CA band Bidwell, current Faktion guitarist Josh Franklin handling the bass duties, and ex-Venture guitarist Joel Estes rounding out the quintet on guitars. As all the members garnered moderate success with their post-Anchored outfit, their previous experiences honing their collective craft as musicians have them poised to interrupt the current climate of active rock for some time to come.
Front man Brandan was originally recommended by the legendary ex-Pantera and current Hellyeah drummer Vinnie Paul, to audition for the singer vacancy in Drowning Pool shortly after singer Dave Williams had passed away while Waking Season and Faktion were all touring the country around the same time in the mid-2000s on national tours in support of the likes of Papa Roach, Hinder and Seether. There is something to be said about the level of talent that comprises the newly-formed Anchored. Luckily for rock fans in the lone-star state and across the country, these seasoned rock veterans found each other and just wrapped up a national tour with Saliva in support of their debut album, that will be released in May 2010. Anchored also just played in Houston for modern rock station 94.5 The Buzz’s annual Buzzfest, whose line-up festivities also includes 30 Seconds To Mars, Three Days Grace, Seether, the mighty Deftones, and the reunited Limp Bizkit to name a few. Not a terrible way for the boys of Anchored to get their boots a little dirty by any means.
Speaking of dirty, Anchored’s first single “Dirty In Texas (D.I.T.)” has already generated buzz at local Texas rock radio outlets and will soon be released nationwide on rock radio this Spring. Also on the horizon will be the release of forthcoming Anchored album “Listen to This!” with a dynamic range from anthemic rockers like the ode to Texas “Dirty…” as well as catchy and melodic second single, “Last Night.” Get ready for a rockin’ hangover as the Anchored boys will be crashing any and all parties in sight for 2010 and beyond.
SAVIOR
Anchored Lyrics

I'll be the one to give you naughty advice
Hey pretty baby, why don't you come in,
There's always room for angels in my den of sin.
I'm your savior, (?)
I'm your savior, your suffering's mine
I'm your savior, I'm out of my mind
This curse you gave me is weighing me down,
I keep on falling without making a sound,
Hey pretty baby, I want to be clear
A thousand angels but my one is here.
I'm your savior, (?)
I'm your savior, your suffering's mine
I'm your savior, I'm out of my mind
I'm just getting a little bit closer to hell all the time
But now I (?)
From somewhere deep inside
I'm resurrecting for you
But now I've seen (?)
Emotions inside
We can't keep hiding, there's proof/this truth.
I'm your savior, (?)
I'm your savior, your suffering's mine
I'm your savior, I'm out of my mind
I'm just getting a little bit closer to hell all the time

The lyrics of Anchored's song "Savior" have a dark and seductive tone, with the singer offering himself as both a savior and a source of temptation. He promises to be "your passionless Christ," which suggests that he will offer salvation without requiring any kind of spiritual devotion or sacrifice. He further offers "naughty advice" and invites the listener into his "den of sin," placing himself in the role of a devil-like figure who can grant physical pleasure but also lead one closer to damnation.
The singer's repeated assertion that "I'm your savior" takes on an increasingly ominous tone as the song progresses, as he explains that he is willing to suffer on behalf of the listener and is "out of [his] mind" in his devotion. The line "I'm just getting a little bit closer to hell all the time" suggests that the singer is aware of the danger he poses and perhaps even welcomes it.
As the song draws to a close, there is a sense of both redemption and foreboding. The singer talks about "resurrecting for you" and seeing "emotions inside," which implies that he has been transformed in some way by the listener's presence. However, he also acknowledges that there is a "truth" that cannot be hidden forever, leaving the listener to wonder just what kind of salvation he is offering.
