Ancient Bards Lyrics

[Storyteller]
In Westland one day
A stranger appeared
His name was Dorus
He had a revelation
Daltor he met
The king of the West
And breathlessly told him:

[Dorus]
Sendor has found the magical sword
Sendor wants to conquer the world
Sendor has found the magical source
The black crystal sword

[Daltor]
It's the beginning of a new war
Now that Sendor has got the sword
He wants to conquer our whole world
It is the birth of evil!

[Stotyteller]
He couldn't believe
The words Dorus said
How could he know
'Bout the bewitched weapon?
Now it was the time
To reunite the kings
Hurry, because:

[Dorus]
Sendor has found the magical sword
Sendor wants to conquer the world
Sendor has found the magical source
The black crystal sword

[Daltor]
It's the beginning of a new war
Now that Sendor has got the sword
He wants to conquer our whole world
It is the birth of evil!

Or in Upon a Burning Body's words,
'You can't please everyone so listen up and understand
I make music for me and for the people who love it
I don't need permission from you
And I damn sure ain't your ****ing puppet
All I hear is "Walk this way
And talk this way, do it just how I say"
I won't be criticized for the man I am
A word of advice: start your own band'

IDK why but I just found out about them today and FUUUUUUUUUUUCK! They are amazing! Crazy powerful vocals, shredding guitar, finger tapping bass, a young Jon Lord on the keyboard and of course that drummer, strong, driving but not overpowering. I listen to everything from Slayer and Death, Blind Guardian and Judas Priest to folk, classical/baroque/romantic to techno/happy hardcore etc. Basically everything if it sounds good. Each one of these people is good enough to build a band around them. Together, they are in such harmony, perfect compliments. it's like Toto (or another supergroup) of power metal. They are also so original. I love Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire, but they borrow, a lot from Vivaldi to Basil Poledouris. 2 of my favourite composers ever but still....

At first I was like, "This band is going to sound generic like everything else". Then I made it through the first chorus and immediately fell in love with the band! Thank you for uploading this video!

@joannitaxvi3386

Sadly every other album after debut sounded generic :)
