These orchestral arrangements of Debussy's Suite are superb: colorful, uplifting, expressive miniature gems ! The resultant versions re-imagine Debussy's already amazing piano music !

The comfort and wonderfulness of this performance is irreplaceable

My feelings are similar to yours. Debussy's music brought me to love classical music on a deeper level within my soul. From there onwards I discovered more composers such as Scriabin, Charles Koechlin, Messiaen, Stockhausen's Licht, Takemitsu...

I love the opening of the Prelude, the closing part of the Menuet, etc., etc. -- really the whole Suite bergamasque, with Clair de lune as its centerpiece. Antique, Magical, Romantic, Childlike -- with a tinge of melancholy that can't help but be there, as it is in Paul Verlaine's earlier poem Clair de lune. The orchestrations are so on the mark -- those by Cloëz as well as the celebrated Caplet.

Such a diamond in the form of a transcribed suite, hidden in plain sight. Much appreciated for sharing this with us Rodders.

Though very familiar with the wonderful piano version of this suite, this is the first time I have heard this orchestrated version. I find it interesting to say the least and I may need to listen a few times to get used to it. Is it known what Debussy himself thought of it?
