There is ice, alive, turn ice into fire
I want, I need, to feel such desire
A pain lies deep, in the heart of my soul
This truth, unfolds, and I'm losing control
And I'm losing control..
I drift in this place, I can't see ahead
[x2]
And it's cold, outside, and I feel the winter
There's a chill, in the air, of secrets untold
Hey yeah.. ohh ahh..
Tonight, I crave, sunlight on my face
For I, can see, it's lonely in space
A touch, can make, your senses awake
But fear, controls, your every mistake
Your every mistake..
I drift in this place, I can't see ahead
Searching around, for the answers..
[x4]
And it's cold, outside, and I feel the winter
There's a chill, in the air, of secrets untold
Hey yeah.. ohh ahh..
And it's cold outside.. and it's cold, outside
And it's cold outside..
[x4]
Winter.. I feel the winter
The lyrics of Andrea Britton's "Winter" describe a feeling of loneliness and a longing for personal connection with another individual. The opening lines suggest a desire to transform something cold and distant into something warm and passionate "alive, turn ice into fire". The singer reveals a deep pain in the heart of her soul that has caused her to feel out of control. She is lost and searching for answers as she wanders in a cold and desolate place. The refrain repeats the sentiment of feeling the chill of winter and a sense of secrets left untold.
The second verse continues to express the yearning for sunlight and personal connection to break through the loneliness. The touch of another person can awaken the senses, but fear continues to hold the singer back from making mistakes. Throughout the song, the struggle to overcome the cold, dark season is apparent as the repetition of the chorus reinforces the pain of feeling alone in winter.
Overall, the lyrics of "Winter" reveal an emotional journey through a tough time of isolation and the desperate desire for a connection with another person. The song speaks to the universal human experience of loneliness and the need for warmth and understanding in times of emotional distress.

I feel like '98 till '08 might probably have been the best decade of my life.
Entranced
Wrong. There's actually a lot of insanely good trance that has come out within the past 10 years and even quite recently. The early years were amazing for sure but more modern stuff is incredible. You're missing out.

Such a pleasure to re-discover (again) this trance classic by Darren Tate & Andrea Britton... true classic - you can tell that D. Tate is classically trained, beautiful, hypontic song, which didn't achieve a much-deserved high chart position... I LOVE 'WINTER'!
