Disappear
Andrew Austin Lyrics

And the sound of the surround in the sleepy ether
In another world playing on everywhere speakers
It was another sang song so crystal clear
Another sang song that would disappear

I often make it on my own
Now I'm awake
It's within my grasp
Of my memory banks
It was only 24 seconds ago

That I woke up this morning and you were near
And the song that kept playing it was in my ear
Yeah we all heard songs that would disappear
Yeah we all sang songs that could disappear

I wish I could capture my dreams on replay
And save the best for the working day

Invisible band. No sand to shore
The song it plays but I can't record

Overall Meaning

Andrew Austin's song "Disappear" is one that speaks to the transience of life, reminding us of the impermanence of things we hold dear. The first verse is a shared conversation between two or more people asking about their thoughts and experiences with bullying. They discuss the forms of bullying that exist, how it affects those involved, and the possible solutions to this societal issue. The rest of the song is narrated from the perspective of the singer, who is reflecting on the fleeting nature of memories and experiences.

The sound of the surround in the sleepy ether suggests a dreamlike quality that surrounds us in our everyday lives, that we often forget or overlook. The singer recalls hearing a song that played everywhere, only for it to disappear as quickly as it came. They express a desire to save their best dreams for the working day, but it seems impossible as the song plays on without being recorded. The last two lines leave us with the image of an invisible band, performing a song for us but leaving no trace of their existence.

Overall, "Disappear" highlights the notion of how things come and go in life, and the importance of cherishing every moment before it vanishes into thin air.
