He started writing songs at the age of fifteen in central Indiana where he attended high school. As a self-taught musician, he learned the basic guitar chords after watching "Rock N Roll High School" (a film starring the Ramones) and watching Johnny Ramone's fingers on the screen. At the age of seventeen he graduated high school and spent a couple months in Orange County, California playing solo gigs at coffee shops. In the years to come he continued writing and playing back in Indiana and Southern California.

In 2008 he moved to Arizona and would go on to form bands around the Phoenix area, playing in local bars and clubs. During this time he was planting the seeds for his solo career. In the spring of 2011, at one such club, he came in contact with Smoking Pirate Records. Soon after, he signed his first recording deal. Work on his debut self titled studio album began several months later and was completed in June of 2012.

Andrew’s moody singing is entrancing, rooted in folk and delta-blues coupled with rock music elements. Simple, yet full of emotion; there is something deeper that lies at the heart of every song.
