Don't Change
Andrew Farriss Lyrics

The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all direction
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark for too long
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
Don't change a thing for me
I found a love I had lost
It was gone for too long
Hear no evil in all directions
Execution of bitterness
Message received loud and clear
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
I'm standing here on the ground
The sky above won't fall down
See no evil in all directions
Resolution of happiness
Things have been dark for too long
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
Don't change for you
Don't change a thing for me
Don't change
Don't change
The song "Don't Change" by Andrew Farriss and Kirk Pengilly of the Australian rock band INXS is a message of hope and acceptance. The lyrics suggest that the world is looking up, and it's time to enjoy the goodness that comes with happiness. The chorus repeats the words "Don't change for you / Don't change a thing for me / Don't change for you / Don't change a thing for me," urging people to embrace themselves as they are and to be comfortable in their own skin. The idea of "resolving happiness" and "hearing no evil" depict a positive outlook on life, and rejecting bitterness and hate.
The song's verses are brief and repetitive, emphasizing the importance of not letting the negativity in the world get you down. The lines "The sky above won't fall down" and "See no evil in all directions" indicate that there is no need to be fearful or paranoid about the world around us. The song suggests that if we can all learn to accept ourselves and those around us, we can make small but positive changes that can bring forth a world of peace and harmony.

This song is so hauntingly beautiful with and without Michael. To me the lyrics have always meant don't change for someone else. Watching the remaining members sing it without and for Michael makes my heart hurt for them.
