She was a goddess, a beautiful Athena
She was immensely beautiful and worthy of reverence, like the Greek goddess Athena.

I bowed and I vowed nothing would come between us
I pledged to do everything in my power to ensure that nothing came between us and our love.

But she tell oil my pedestal
She revealed my flaws, which I had not realized I had, and my pedestal of perfection was shattered.

She was human after all
I came to the realization that she was not perfect but rather flawed and human like everyone else.

So I got angry and silent
I became resentful and chose not to communicate my feelings, choosing instead to simmer in my anger in silence.

That's why she left I know
Due to my resentment and lack of communication, she left me, and I understood why she had to go.

Somebody had to pay for all the pain I felt
I felt that someone else was to blame for the pain I was feeling inside.

So I grabbed my gun and headed out to go shooting stars!
I impetuously decided to take revenge for my pain by engaging in a potentially dangerous activity (shooting stars).

I had to travel to another chart
I had to start anew and move on from my past love, which felt like journeying to a different world or land.

To find the parts of my broken heart
I had to find the missing pieces of my heart that were broken due to my past traumatic experiences.

To learn to live a life that wasn't in her arms
I had to learn how to live a life without the person I had loved before and build a new life for myself.

And it took another hundred years of disappearing
It felt like it took a long time of avoiding my emotions and essentially 'disappearing' to finally confront my pain and move forward.

Just to face my tears and know the feeling of a brand new heart
I had to finally confront my emotions and allow myself to grieve, which led me to have a new heart and outlook on life.

All the pain I felt barely left me alive
The emotional pain I felt was so intense that it was a struggle for me to carry on living.

The beat of my bleeding heart!
Despite the pain, my heart still beat, and I was still alive and able to move forward.

Brace for the splashdown
I was preparing myself for the harsh reality and difficulties that come with trying to start anew.

The grip of gravity and age
I was coming to terms with the passing of time and the heaviness of life's responsibilities.

We're going to find out if anything can really change
I was unsure if change was truly possible or if I could really overcome my past and start anew.

Ready or not!
I was done waiting and was prepared for whatever consequences came with trying to start anew.

I am determined to prove myself and show others that I am capable of achieving great things.
