Ever since I was a child, I tried to be the best
I have always strived to be successful and excel at everything I do

So what happened?
What went wrong in my pursuit of excellence?

My family and friends all said I was blessed
Those closest to me have recognized the good fortune in my life

It was supposed to be all so exciting, to be teaching of Christ 'cross the sea
I thought my mission to spread the word of God would be exhilarating

But I allowed my faith to be shaken, oh, what's the matter with me?
I've let doubt and uncertainty undermine my beliefs

I've always longed to help the needy, to do the things I never dared
I've had a desire to assist those in need, but haven't had the courage to act

This was the time for me to step up, so then why was I so scared?
I know I need to show courage now, but I still feel afraid

A warlord who shoots people in the face, what's so scary about that?
I must have faith that the Lord will protect me, even in dangerous situations

I must trust that my Lord is mightier and always has my back
I need to have faith that God is powerful and will protect me

Now I must be completely devout; I can't have even one shred of doubt
I must show unwavering commitment to my beliefs and not doubt even a little

I believe that the Lord God created the universe
I have faith that God created the universe

I believe that he sent his only son to die for my sins
I have faith that Jesus died to forgive my sins

And I believe that ancient Jews built boats and sailed to America
I have faith in the belief that ancient Jews traveled to America and built boats there

You cannot just believe part-way, you have to believe in it all
I cannot pick and choose which beliefs to accept, I must believe in all of them

My problem was doubting the Lord's will, instead of standing tall
I recognize that my struggle has been with doubts about God's plan, rather than a lack of courage

I can't allow myself to have any doubt, it's time to set my worries free
I need to let go of my doubts and trust completely in my beliefs

Time to show the world what Elder Price is about, and share the power inside of me
I need to demonstrate my beliefs to the world and embrace the strength they bring me

I believe that God has a plan for all of us
I have faith that God has a plan for every individual

I believe that plan involves me getting my own planet
I believe that I will be given my own planet as part of God's plan

And I believe that the current President of the Church, Thomas Monson, speaks directly to God
I have faith that the current Church President speaks directly with God

I know that I must go and do the things my God commands
I recognize that it's important to act on God's direction

I believe that Satan has a hold of you
I have faith that the influence of Satan is at play in certain situations

I believe that the Lord God has sent me here
I have faith that God has directed me to this point in my life

And I believe that in 1978 God changed his mind about black people (black people)
I believe that God altered his stance on race in 1978

And now I can feel the excitement, this is the moment I was born to do
I am exhilarated now that I've found my purpose

And I feel so incredible to be sharing my faith with you
It's amazing to me to share my beliefs with others

The scriptures say that if you ask in faith, if you ask God himself, you'll know
The Bible tells us that we can have certainty through faith and prayer

But you must ask him without any doubt, and let your spirit grow
You must ask God with full faith and allow that faith to flourish

I believe that Jesus has his own planet as well

If you believe, the Lord will reveal it
If you have faith, God will reveal truth to you

And you'll know it's all true, you'll just feel it
You'll feel a sense of certainty and truth when you have faith
