Keep Running
Andreya Triana Lyrics

He's working 9 til 5 in a dark and dirty place
He gets up too early, doesn't see his children
His wife's been working so hard just to pay their way
'Cause little [?] no shoes, got no soles on the bottom
He gets down no his knees, closes his eyes and starts to pray
The tears come tumbling down just like the rhythm of the rain

He's thinking, I keep running
Got his hands up and he know it's not enough today
Singing, keep running
Got his hands up cause he knows it's not enough
Knows it's not enough

She's 5 foot 9 and oh she's never had to work a day
When she tiptoes in at 5am they don't notice
'Cause her daddy sleeps with his Rolex on
Her mom's been shopping all day long
While she lies awake on her bed on roses full of thorns
She get's down on her knees, opens her eyes to another day
The tears come tumbling down just like an endless tidal wave

She's thinking I keep running
Got her hands up and he know it's not enough today
Singing, keep running
Got her hands up cause he knows it's not enough
Knows it's not enough

Keep running, keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, I keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running

Keep running, keep running, keep running
Keep running, keep running, keep running

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Andreya Triana's song "Keep Running" paint two contrasting pictures of individuals who are struggling with different challenges in their lives. In the first verse, we see a man who is working long hours in a "dark and dirty place." He wakes up too early and is unable to see his children. His wife is working hard to make ends meet, and they can't even afford shoes with soles for their kids. The man reaches a point where he falls to his knees, praying for a way out of his situation. The tears come down like the rain, symbolizing the heaviness and sadness he feels inside.

In the second verse, we see a woman who seems to be living a life of privilege. She's never had to work a day in her life and is tall and beautiful. However, she's also struggling, as she lies awake at night on a bed full of thorns. Her parents are living their own lives, and she's left alone to deal with her own emotions. She also falls to her knees, crying endlessly, and wondering what the next day holds.

The chorus of the song, "keep running," is a message of hope and encouragement. It's a reminder that, no matter what struggles we face, we must keep going, keep trying, and keep running towards our goals. The repetition of the phrase "keep running" reinforces the idea that we must constantly be moving forward in life, no matter what obstacles we face.
