2) Andy Davis, music producer, member of Stackridge , former member of The Korgis, who also played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals on John Lennon's Imagine album.
1) A southern boy at heart, Andy Davis works with what he knows best: charm. Quirky, clever, talented and tender, Andy writes music to make you look for a soft hand to hold. With a movie-maker's eye for storytelling, he shows that every glimpse in life tells a story and that every saga must be distilled into vignettes. Andy is a rare talent: an unplugged Whiskeytown-era Ryan Adams crossed with a latter-day Billy Joel, without the self-destructive tendencies of either. Surprisingly soulful for a young man whose peers spend more time cruising than crooning, Andy Davis writes songs that make us remember things too important to have forgotten: incomprehensible faith, the torture of deep emotion, and belief in boundless possibilities. Everyone rushes past these quiet monoliths on our way through young adulthood, and Andy's music makes us want to go back and find them. His songs make you remember your firsts: first kiss, first love, first date, first heartbreak. It's the accessibility of Andy's agony and ecstasy that makes you feel what it's like to be a poet. Life becomes less complicated when we grasp the essence of true living. The music of Andy Davis beckons like a whisper through the cacophony of smooth snake oil vendors. It's uncorrupted rawness, genuine and unpretentious -- authenticity unencumbered by fake industry.
Born in Louisiana and later migrating with his family to the southeast, Andy grew up listening to oldies and gospel music before moving to Nashville for college. With musical influences from David Wilcox to Stevie Wonder to Radiohead to Rufus Wainwright, it's no surprise that Andy writes like a poet, plays a slew of instruments (from drum kit to trumpet), and rocks out on stage. Runway Network is currently promoting Andy's independent album titled, "Thinks of Her."
2) Andy Davis (born Andrew Cresswell-Davis 10 August 1949) is a music producer, member of Stackridge , former member of The Korgis. Stackridge are a West Country based group who were at the height of their success, such as it was, during the 1970s but are reformed and still playing today. Davis, who lives in Bath, was also in The Korgis - a British pop band, originally composed of singer / bassist James Warren (born 25 August 1951, Bristol) and singer / drummer Davis, along with unofficial members guitarist Stuart Gordon and keyboardist Phil Harrison. Davis has also played with Goldfrapp. He played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals on John Lennon's Imagine album.
Bigger Than Us
Andy Davis Lyrics

Somebody's up there pulling the strings
We're not on our own
Do you see it?
It's just like watching gravity fall
And you don't know how
Oh, but signs point to a miracle
We've gotten into this
Baby, this love is something
Something bigger than us
Bigger than us
Our love is something
Something bigger than us
Look above us
You'll see what I've been trying to say
These stars were arranged
Just like we were
And I thought I found you
All on my own
That's crazy now
Oh, when it's all so unbelievable
I'm not superstitious
Baby, it's just making sense that this
Love is something
Something bigger than us
Bigger than us
Our love is something
Something bigger than us
To say that from the Beginning
To the beginning of this day
The ways the world could be spinning
And it had to be this way
Oh, and love's not just the sum of us
It's so much deeper
Goes so much wider
Love of a sweeter kind
Love with a patient mind
Bigger than my eyes have ever seen
Than my imagination dreams
It's big enough
Bigger than us
Love is patient, love is kind
Love has given us a sign
It's big enough
Bigger than us
And love is something
Something bigger than us
Bigger than us
Our love is something
Something bigger than us
(x2)
In this song, Andy Davis is talking about a love that is greater than just two individuals. He hints at the idea that there might be a higher power orchestrating things, as he says "Somebody's up there pulling the strings." He's in awe of the fact that things seem to be falling into place so perfectly, as if by design. He talks about looking up at the stars and realizing that they were "arranged just like we were."
Davis seems to be suggesting that there is something larger than just two people falling in love, that there is a greater purpose to it all. He says that "love is something bigger than us," which implies that the love between two individuals can have a greater significance beyond just themselves. He talks about how love is patient, kind, and "so much deeper," and goes beyond what we can see or imagine.
Overall, the lyrics to this song are all about how the love between two people can have a greater significance and purpose beyond just themselves, and how it can lead to a feeling of awe and wonder at the mysteries of the universe.

Got a feeling
I have a gut instinct
Somebody's up there pulling the strings

Just like we were
Just like our meeting and relationship was intentional

Despite how unlikely it seems
