1) A southern boy at heart, Andy Davis works with what he knows best: charm. Quirky, clever, talented and tender, Andy writes music to make you look for a soft hand to hold. With a movie-maker's eye for storytelling, he shows that every glimpse in life tells a story and that every saga must be distilled into vignettes. Andy is a rare talent: an unplugged Whiskeytown-era Ryan Adams crossed with a latter-day Billy Joel, without the self-destructive tendencies of either. Surprisingly soulful for a young man whose peers spend more time cruising than crooning, Andy Davis writes songs that make us remember things too important to have forgotten: incomprehensible faith, the torture of deep emotion, and belief in boundless possibilities. Everyone rushes past these quiet monoliths on our way through young adulthood, and Andy's music makes us want to go back and find them. His songs make you remember your firsts: first kiss, first love, first date, first heartbreak. It's the accessibility of Andy's agony and ecstasy that makes you feel what it's like to be a poet. Life becomes less complicated when we grasp the essence of true living. The music of Andy Davis beckons like a whisper through the cacophony of smooth snake oil vendors. It's uncorrupted rawness, genuine and unpretentious -- authenticity unencumbered by fake industry.
Born in Louisiana and later migrating with his family to the southeast, Andy grew up listening to oldies and gospel music before moving to Nashville for college. With musical influences from David Wilcox to Stevie Wonder to Radiohead to Rufus Wainwright, it's no surprise that Andy writes like a poet, plays a slew of instruments (from drum kit to trumpet), and rocks out on stage. Runway Network is currently promoting Andy's independent album titled, "Thinks of Her."
2) Andy Davis (born Andrew Cresswell-Davis 10 August 1949) is a music producer, member of Stackridge , former member of The Korgis. Stackridge are a West Country based group who were at the height of their success, such as it was, during the 1970s but are reformed and still playing today. Davis, who lives in Bath, was also in The Korgis - a British pop band, originally composed of singer / bassist James Warren (born 25 August 1951, Bristol) and singer / drummer Davis, along with unofficial members guitarist Stuart Gordon and keyboardist Phil Harrison. Davis has also played with Goldfrapp. He played acoustic guitar and sang backing vocals on John Lennon's Imagine album.
Spontaneous

Say we're never spontaneous
Taking a chance and living
the wild life baby
I know it's late but we can
make it to the coast by sunrise,
we can make it but we might have to drive all night baby
everybody will wonder where we've gone to, this will make a real good story someday soon
Just need a cup of coffee, good station on the radio, you can stay up
or you can sleep on my shoulder
Don't wanna ever wonder where the car could have taken us
I'll wake you up when the drive is over
Clothes are back are plenty
everybody will wonder where we've gone to, this will make a real good story someday soon.
If the oceans warm, we'll take a swim
fill our pockets with sand, and prove we went to our friends
Clothes on our back are plenty
everybody will wonder where we've gone to, this will make a...
Clothes on our back are plenty everybody will wonder where we've gone to, this will make a real good story someday soon
Gas in the car, get in,
Say we're never spontaneous
The song “Spontaneous” by Andy Davis is all about taking risks and living life to the fullest without worrying about the consequences. The lyrics describe a couple who decides to go on an adventure in the middle of the night, without any plan or destination, just with the gas in their car and the desire for excitement. They are aware that they might have to drive all night to reach their destination, but they are ready to face the challenge. The singer reassures his partner that everything will be fine and that he will wake her up when they arrive, so she can fully enjoy the moment.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the idea that taking risks and being spontaneous in life is worth it, as it creates memorable experiences that can be cherished forever. The lyrics suggest that the couple’s adventure will generate a great story to tell in the future, and that people will be curious about their whereabouts. The song also mentions the possibility of going for a night swim in the ocean, in pursuit of more excitement and freedom.
Overall, “Spontaneous” is a celebration of life, urging listeners to seize the moment and embrace the unknown. Through the simple act of driving without a precise destination, the song encourages its listeners to step out of their comfort zone and engage with the world in a more spontaneous way.
