If you become obsessed with gaining power, it can distort your thinking and make you do things you wouldn't normally do.

I often get confused between the slang greeting 'What up dog?' and the word 'God,' indicating my struggle with dyslexia.

When you're at the top, it's not as glamorous as it seems and my heart is corrupted due to my desire for power.

I have no power, I get handed death, I must accept it
Ultimately, I have no real power because my fate is predetermined, and I will inevitably die.

It's hard to see the light when you never listen
It's difficult to gain a different perspective when you aren't open to listening and changing your ways.

Our lives are consumed with the pursuit of power and control, which is causing chaos and confusion.

I used to dream about achieving power and success.

Hip-hop magazines fueled my aspirations for fame and fortune.

Double-XL got me wanton to excel
Double-XL magazine inspired me to strive for excellence and success.

People are telling me it's obvious that I have talent and I'm good at what I do.

Pride always comes before a downfall or failure, and I know this from previous experiences and things I've read.

If you see me failing or struggling, it's probably because I'm overly obsessed with gaining power and control.

Welcome to the culture where humility is not allowed
In our society, being humble is not seen as a valuable trait.

They do it big, if you don't see that, you Shallow Hal
People often show off their wealth and success, and if you can't see that, you're oblivious.

Tryna show them how love and power, it goes together
I'm trying to demonstrate that love and having power can coexist, and one doesn't have to come at the expense of the other.

If they call us losers, that just means we last forever
If other people see us as failures or losers, it doesn't matter because we will endure and continue to strive for what we believe is important.

I been connected to the power, I don't have to chase it
I have a connection to a higher power and don't have to actively seek out power and control.

I roll with the Trinity, this is sorta the Matrix
I have a relationship with the Holy Trinity, which feels like a connection to a higher reality or dimension, similar to the Matrix movies.

A hard pill to swallow: we're evil to the core
It's difficult to accept, but humans are fundamentally selfish and flawed.

Wicked power exploits the poor, and it brings war
Having too much power can lead to exploitation of those with less power, and can even lead to war and conflict.

Power can be a field of dreams loaded with land mines
Having power and authority can be a dangerous game, filled with hidden dangers and pitfalls.

We know the ruler so you can't say these are bad lines
We know the ultimate ruler, or God, so you can't criticize or judge what we do or say.

(You might lust for that power!), but don't forget that we're forgiven
You might crave power and control, but remember that we are all capable of being forgiven and redeemed.

I know the Lord gon' catch me when I'm power trippin'
I have faith that God will be there for me and help me if I start to get too obsessed with gaining power and control.

Who made the crowd put they hands in the sky? Me.
I am responsible for getting the crowd to react and raise their hands in excitement.

Who made the sky with they hands? What if y'all can't see?
I'm asking who created the sky and universe, and what if people are blind to the reality that there is a higher power at work.

This is kinda strange, God makes the weather change
It's a strange and humbling thought that God has control over the weather and natural world.

And we braggin' up on our change like "look how we make it rain!"
Despite our limited control over the world and its natural processes, we brag and take credit for things like making it rain.

We Invictus, this sin sickness is in us
We have a feeling of invincibility, but the sickness of sinful desires is within all of us.

Running a muck and causing that mischief, tell me this then, "Who could really fix us?"
We're causing chaos and destruction, but who can really heal and fix our broken world?

I'm, trippin' to think that I'm really not limited in this position in sitting in,
It's a trip to think that I have the power to influence and control so much in the position I'm in.

Gravity pulling me back to earth gradually, reality's hittin'
Despite my feelings of power and control, the realities of life and my limitations are slowing bringing me back down to earth and humbling me.
