With a cult following, McCluskey is remembered for a car promotion: her voice is heard on Télépopmusik's song "Breathe" in a Mitsubishi ad.
The former lead singer of Wild Colonials released her debut solo CD, The Things We Do, in 2004. Recorded in only a few days in New York and Sweden, the album showcases McCluskey's extraordinary, raw vocals.
In 2009, McCluskey released her second solo album, You Could Start a Fight in an Empty House, including the track "Handle with Grace" (featuring Télépopmusik).

Can't keep listening to what you say
What you say, what you say
I know it makes my insides crawl
Think, you think, you know it all
Know it all, know it all
And there's not much things you can't do
Can't you see they're laughin' at you
Oh dear, I'm getting weary
Of the same show every night
It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't so right
I've gotta talk to you today
Can't keep listening to what you say
What you say, what you say
I know you can't get over yourself
It's so hard to listen to someone else
Someone else, someone else
Oh God, you're reading Albert Camus
And there's not much things you can't do
Can't you see they're laughin' at you
Oh dear, I'm getting weary
Of the same show every night
It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't so right
Oh dear, I'm getting weary
Of the same show every night
It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't so right
Feel like you're well-meaning
It's not your fault, I know
You're on medication
It's helping you to grow
Oh no
Oh dear, I'm getting weary
Of the same show every night
It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't so right
Oh dear, I'm getting weary
Of the same show every night
It wouldn't be so hard
It wouldn't be so hard if you weren't so right
Angela McCluskey's "Know It All" is a sarcastic commentary on the behavior of someone who is overconfident, self-centered and prone to endless pontification. The singer is tired of listening to this person talk, as they think they know everything and refuse to listen to anyone else's opinions or advice. As such, the singer is getting fed up with their constant, boastful lectures and grandiose ideas, and is longing for a break from the same old song and dance.
The lyrics also speak to the person's intellectual pretensions, as they are seen reading Albert Camus, which is perhaps a reflection of their belief in their own intellectual superiority. The song suggests that the person's tendency to be arrogant is causing them to become isolated and alienated from others, as people are laughing at them behind their back. The singer, on the other hand, is growing weary of the same routine, and longs for a time when the know-it-all can be more reflective and become more empathic towards others.
In conclusion, "Know It All" is a scathing commentary on someone who is so convinced of their own intelligence that they are blind to the opinions of others. The song speaks to the dangers of arrogance and the need for humility and openness in communication.
