With a cult following, McCluskey is remembered for a car promotion: her voice is heard on Télépopmusik's song "Breathe" in a Mitsubishi ad.
The former lead singer of Wild Colonials released her debut solo CD, The Things We Do, in 2004. Recorded in only a few days in New York and Sweden, the album showcases McCluskey's extraordinary, raw vocals.
In 2009, McCluskey released her second solo album, You Could Start a Fight in an Empty House, including the track "Handle with Grace" (featuring Télépopmusik).
Over And Over
Angela McCluskey Lyrics

You told me this is tomb
But I will try to never stop loving
Every Little thing that you do
Over and over
Under the stars beating by rain
I won't never feel nothing but pain
I walked to your house
You told me stop this pause
I will no to never stop living
Every little way that you be
Over and over
Under the stars beating by rain
I couldn't feel anything but pain
But I had to live a minute without
you
Over and over
Under the stars beating by rain
I couldn't stop feeling anything
But pain and I was without
This thing x2
All walls keep us and tombed
The silence and this lonely room
Sounds like a house close down
The lyrics of this song by Angela McCluskey seem to speak of the struggles of a failed relationship. The first line, "I walked until you wrong," suggests that the singer may have been walking away from a relationship that went wrong. The next line, "You told me this is tomb," could be interpreted as the other person telling the singer that the relationship is dead, and there's no way to bring it back to life. However, the singer insists on continuing to love "every little thing that you do."
As the chorus begins, the singer says "over and over" he's been trying to move on, but he can't escape the pain. Even under the stars, when everything is supposed to be beautiful, he can only feel hurt. In the second verse, the singer tries once more to reconnect with his ex, but again he faces rejection. He insists he won't stop living, but admits he was hurting without his ex.
The final lines of the song suggest a certain sense of isolation and confinement. The "walls" and "lonely room" might symbolize the unique pain that comes with being stuck in a failed relationship. The song shows that moving on and healing after a breakup is tough, but ultimately necessary.
