At age 5, she got an accordion and at age 6, Ro Ro composed a guarânia with it; her first song. At age 8, she began studying classical piano, influenced by icons such as Maysa, Jacques Brel, Ella Fitzgerald (and later Janis Joplin), whom she would elect as her musical idols.
In 1971, Angela Ro Ro Ro moved to London and alternated her work as a cleaner and waitress with that of singer and pianist. Back to Brazil, in 1974, she performed in the best nightclubs in Rio de Janeiro, with a repertoire chosen according to her personal preferences. She became known as a singer and songwriter in 1976, when she participated in the rock festival Som, Sol e Surf, organized by the journalist and music producer Nelson Motta in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro, in which Rita Lee, Raul Seixas and Made in Brazil also performed. In 1979 the song Agito e Uso was recorded by As Frenéticas and Não Há Cabeça by Marina Lima and Ney Matogrosso. In the following year, Ney Matogrosso interpreted Balada da Arrasada. She released her first album, Angela Ro Ro, in 1979, by PolyGram, with arrangements by pianist Antônio Adolfo on several tracks. The song Tola Foi Você was her debut on the radio, but her first big hit was Amor, Meu Grande Amor, whose lyrics are by Ana Terra. Gota de Sangue had great repercussion in the voice of Maria Bethânia around the same period.
a mim e a mais ninguém

E as coisas vão ficar
Porque acredito em mim
E o tempo passa a flutuar
E a chance de eu ficar
Depende só de mim
Começo uma nova história e aviso
Todo amor que eu amei
No fundo eu dediquei
A mim e a mais ninguém
E vai ser tarde até demais
Pra quem ficou pra trás
Por não saber amar
Se gosta do medo não venha comigo
Na-na-an-na-na-na-na não
Não gosto de quem nunca corre perigo
Todo canto e pranto meu
E tudo que sou eu
Por certo vai vingar
Então você vai entender
Que o quanto eu quis sofrer
Valeu pelo tentar
Se gosta do medo não venha comigo
Na-na-an-na-na-na-na não
Não gosto de quem nunca corre perigo
Todo amor que eu amei
No fundo eu dediquei
A mim e a mais ninguém
A mim e a mais ninguém
A mim e a mais ninguém
A mim e a mais ninguém
A mim e a mais ninguém
In the song "A Mim e a Mais Ninguém" by Angela Ro Ro, the lyrics express a strong sense of self-belief and independence. The singer acknowledges that time will pass and things will change, but they have faith in themselves and their ability to navigate through life. They emphasize that their success and happiness depend solely on their own actions and choices.
The singer declares that they are starting a new chapter in their life and make it clear that there is no room for someone who lacks judgment. They refuse to be influenced or hindered by others who may not understand their path or goals.
The lyrics also touch upon the singer's past experiences with love. They admit that all the love they have given in the past was dedicated to themselves and no one else. They imply that those who were unable to reciprocate or understand their love will realize their mistake too late.
The singer expresses a dislike for those who enjoy living in fear and refuse to take risks. They assert that they don't appreciate being in the company of people who never expose themselves to danger or venture outside their comfort zones.
The final repetition of the phrase "A mim e a mais ninguém" emphasizes the singer's commitment to themselves and their refusal to settle for anything less. They have learned from their past and are determined to focus on their own growth and well-being, ultimately dedicating their love and attention to themselves alone.
