1. Angeldust is an industrial rock band Criss Angel. In the mid-1990s, magician Criss Angel asked industrial musician Klay Scott (of Circle of Dust fame) to incorporate a soundtrack for his 'World of Illusion' theatrical stage shows. At the time, Klay put Circle of Dust on hold and formed random music projects such as Brainchild and Argyle Park. With the disbandment of Argyle Park, Klay and Criss both agreed to form an industrial rock band of their own, featuring Dave Sussman (later of Bile and Vajra) on guitar for the live band. The project was called Angeldust in the early years and for the release of the first soundtrack-album 'Musical Conjurings From World of Illusion' in 1998, however the project was later rebranded to coincide with two further soundtrack volumes and simply released under the Criss Angel title instead of Angeldust and redubbed the 'System' trilogy in 2000.
As Klay and Criss began to write the songs, they began to develop a strong friendship. Both loved to make the same type of music and both had the same cyberpunk visual image that was incorporated heavily into the World of Illusion stage-shows. Angeldust did not last that long as Criss went onto to further his solo illusionist career and Klay formed his latest project, Celldweller. Up to this day, even though both men are busy with their own successful projects, Klay still helps Criss Angel make music for his popular Mindfreak television show, most notably the theme song to the show. Accordingly, Klayton can be seen in the Mindfreak music video, playing guitar and keyboards. Select songs from the System trilogy have since been compiled and re-released on the Criss Angel Mindfreak soundtrack.
2. Angeldust is Pia Nadine Marienfeld, a hardcore producer and DJ from Essen, Germany.
3. Angeldust is the noise project of Jacob Anodide, Nate Davis and Robert Francisco.
4. Angeldust is one of the many projects of trance producer Aldwin Oomen.
Fear
Angeldust Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I feel no release - I wanna' find my peace of mind
...(Can you forgive?)
[Chorus]
My fear, my fear (Ah, come on)
It's holding me stillborn (Ah, ah)
My fear, my fear (Come on, come on)
...Don't fear (Don't fear) (repeat x4)
...*(Gotta' get rid of the pain) (?- best guess)
You stole the innocence,
From a child to be no more
Blinded by the silence,
Afraid to ever speak a word
...(Can you forgive?)
[Chorus (alt)] (line 1 ends "(Come on, x2)")
...Don't fear (Don't fear) (repeat x3)
...(Ah, ah) Don't... Fear...
...*(Gotta' get rid of the pain)
...Fear ...*(Gotta' get rid of the pain)
[Bridge]
Thinking on the times of my demise,
And I wish it wasn't me they victimized
And I don't know - Really can't see,
How I really couldn't kill,
The mother fu*'r that violated me
[Chorus (alt)] / [Bridge (alt)]:
-(lines 2 & 5 ends "(Don't fear)")-
Thinking on the times of my demise ...(Don't you)
And I wish it wasn't me they victimized ...(Fear)
And I don't know - Really can't see,
How I really couldn't kill...
...*(I've run out of fear) (?- best guess)
The lyrics to Angeldust's song Fear depicts a victim of abuse, who is struggling to move forward from the trauma. The writer is stuck in the past because of the pain they endured and are unable to find peace of mind. The chorus reveals that their fear is keeping them at a standstill and they can't let go of their pain. The repetition of "don't fear" represents the writer's desire to overcome the fear that has been holding them back. The lyrics "gotta get rid of the pain" show that they're actively trying to find a way to move forward from their traumatic experience.
The bridge dives deeper into the writer's psyche, talking about the times of their demise and how they wish it wasn't them who was violated. The writer expresses a desire to kill the person who caused them harm, which implies intense anger and trauma. The lyrics suggest that the writer is struggling to come to terms with their emotions and the trauma they experienced. The overall messaging of the song is about recognizing fear and using inner strength to overcome it and move forward.
Overall, Angeldust's Fear is a powerful song about the struggles of trauma and the fight against fear. The lyrics provoke emotion and empathy for those who have been victims of abuse.

This song is from the collaboration of Criss Angel and Klayton (Celldweller). Originally the collaboration project was called Angeldust. The name got lost somewhere in there, but Klayton was still credited.

I loved this ever since the days when it was new. I love how it blurs the lines of various genres of music. Always have heard a heavy 'Prince' influence in the vocals of this song :]
