This album (released under the Nuclear Blast label) was marked by participation of a large number of musicians. It was produced by Bernd Wendlandt who wrote all 15 songs (4 of which are covers, though strongly transformed so the originals are difficult to recognize). Most cellos are played by B. Deutung, the guitars by Pitti Piatkowsky, other musicians contributed only on single tracks: Apocalyptica, Joachim Witt, Letzte Instanz, miLú/Mila Mar, Inchtabokatables, Roadernallee and Nik Page.
Previously, Claudia was a singer of German pop band X-perience, who had two hits: A Neverending Dream and Magic Fields. Throughout April 2005 Angelzoom formation is supporting Apocalyptica on their European tour.

Back to the ancient time
The lights of the night are shining
When the light of the day is gone
In spite of the dark tonight
In my heart there shines a light
For all to see and not to reach
Where they came from
And who we are
To bring one down
The lights of the night are shining
When the light of the day is gone
In spite of the dark tonight
In my heart there shines a light
The lights of the night are shining
When the light of the day is gone
In spite of the dark tonight
In my heart there shines a light
The lights of the night are shining
When the light of the day is gone
In spite of the dark tonight
In my heart there shines a light
The lyrics to Angelzoom's "Lights" are imbued with an ethereal yet affecting quality that speaks of hope and the endurance of light in the face of darkness. The opening lyrics, "Right from the start, back to the ancient time," hint at the timelessness of the message being conveyed that light will ultimately triumph over darkness, that there is always hope even in the bleakest of situations.
The opening verse speaks of the stars that shine brightly in the night sky, providing a guiding light for us to follow, to look up to when we are lost in the darkness. The line "the stars are there for all to see and not to reach" could be interpreted in a number of ways - perhaps as a commentary on how light is always there for us if we choose to look for it, but often beyond our grasp. The latter half of the verse speaks to the mystery of our existence - "where they came from and who we are" - and the possibility that there is a higher power at play in the universe.
The chorus is repetitive, but powerful in its simplicity, as it repeats the message of the first verse that despite the darkness of the night, there is still light shining in the singer's heart. It conveys a sense of inner strength and resilience, even when the external world may seem bleak or hopeless. Overall, "Lights" is a song that inspires hope, encourages us to keep searching for light even in the darkest of times.
