She stayed in the band for about 4 years and in 2000 she decided to leave the band to persuade a solo career. In 2002 she released an EP titled "Extended Play", however it didn't have as much success as she expected. As for now, she stopped persuading her singing career, however she has hosted plenty of TV shows in Mexico in Cable TV In the channel "Tele Hit" after her singing career. Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
I told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad it was over
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
No you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
Guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
But I don't wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
And you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
(I used to know)

The lyrics to "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye featuring Kimbra describe the aftermath of a failed relationship. The singer is grappling with the loss of a romantic partner and the way in which they were cut off after the relationship ended. The song delves into the complexities of love and heartbreak, examining the ongoing ache that one carries after a relationship comes to an end.
The opening lines set the tone for the melancholic nature of the song: "Now and then I think of when we were together/Like when you said you felt so happy you could die." The singer remembers the happiness that the relationship once brought but acknowledges the loneliness they felt while still in it. The following lines highlight an important theme present in the song - the idea that one can become addicted to sadness after a traumatic experience. The singer acknowledges that they can't make sense of the end of the relationship, but they were glad that it was over. However, the pain from the experience lingers, as evidenced in the line "But that was love and it's an ache I still remember."
The second verse continues this exploration of the end of the relationship, describing the way in which the singer was cut off by their former partner. The lines, "But you didn't have to cut me off/Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing" demonstrate the sudden and harsh ending of the relationship. The singer no longer has contact with their former partner, who has gone to the extreme of having their friends collect their records and change their phone number. The refrain of "Now you're just somebody that I used to know" reinforces the finality of the end of the relationship.
The song's introspective and emotional lyrics resonated with audiences worldwide, and it became an international hit, topping charts in multiple countries. It also garnered numerous awards and nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2013 Grammy Awards.

Now and then I think of when we were together
After we broke up, I still think about our time together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
I remember when you told me how happy you were
I told myself that you were right for me
I convinced myself that we were meant to be together
But felt so lonely in your company
But I was always so lonely when I was with you
But that was love and it's an ache I still remember
I now realize that was love, even though it still hurts
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
It's easy to become accustomed to feeling sad
Like resignation to the end, always the end
Accepting that it's over, and it'll never change
So when we found that we could not make sense
When we had problems and couldn't make things work
Well you said that we would still be friends
You said we'd still be friends, without any hard feelings
But I'll admit that I was glad it was over
But, to be honest, I'm happy it's done
But you didn't have to cut me off
You didn't need to completely cut me out of your life
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
Act like our relationship never occurred, and we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
I don't require your love
But you treat me like a stranger and that feels so rough
But treating me like a stranger feels harsh
No you didn't have to stoop so low
You didn't need to be so hateful
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
Passing my personal items and then changing contact information was unnecessary
Guess that I don't need that though
Although it hurts, I don't really miss that situation
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now, you're simply an individual from my past
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
You're nothing more than an old acquaintance at this point
Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
Sometimes, I think about all the times you hurt me
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
And even though it was your fault, you convinced me it was mine
But I don't wanna live that way
But I don't want to live my life like that anymore
Reading into every word you say
Trying to read too much into every little thing you say
You said that you could let it go
But you told me you could move on from the situation
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know
I wouldn't find out that you're still thinking about someone from your past
(I used to know)
(I used to know)
(I used to know)
