They have released three studio albums, A Book Like This (2007), which peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Albums Chart; Down the Way (2010), reached No. 1; and their self-titled album (2014). At the ARIA Music Awards of 2010 they won five awards from nine nominations: winning Album of the Year, Best Adult Alternative Album, Best Cover Art and Producer of the Year for Down the Way and Single of the Year for "Big Jet Plane".
Released in March 2010, their album “Down The Way” debuted at #1 on Australia’s ARIA Charts enjoying a remarkable 12 months inside the ARIA Top 20 albums chart. It went on to pick up Album Of The Year at the 2010 ARIA Awards and includes the platinum selling Single Of The Year ‘Big Jet Plane’; which was most notably voted No.1 on the 2011 annual Triple j Hottest 100. The album has hit triple platinum (210,000+) sales in the Stones’ home country, the only Australian artist album to reach this milestone on the current ARIA Top 50 albums chart.
European audiences have also fallen head over heels in love with “Down The Way”. Reaching platinum (100,000+) album status in France, supported by a hugely successful film sync with ‘Big Jet Plane’ for the movie, Les Émotifs Anonymes. Extended sold out tours are not limited to native Australia with the 2011 French tour including 5 ‘Le Trianon’ Paris shows selling out 2 months before the tour commenced. The UK, Germany, Austria, Spain & Portugal are all just a taste of the frequent European tour destinations with sell out shows. In the US, their dramatic and lush soundscapes have found homes on prime time dramas; Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice and key slots at iconic US festivals Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo and Coachella.
Travelling has been an integral part of the Stone’s musical story, so it’s not surprising they opted to record “Down The Way” in a number of diverse locations around the globe; an old sawmill on the river banks of Fowey in Cornwall, a studio in Brooklyn, a water tank in Coolangatta, London - and Queens in New York.
“Down The Way” marked their debut as producers, taking full control of their sound without losing the spirit of what made the first record ‘A Book Like This’ so special. There has been a subtle shift of gear, represented by a growing confidence in their abilities as artists and the music follows suit as it flows easily through sparse and rich textured arrangements without losing any of its etherealness and charm.
With an incredible response to “Down The Way” from all corners of the globe, Angus and Julia Stone will take some well-deserved time off and prepare for their next step along a remarkable musical journey.

Just a Boy
Angus & Julia Stone Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I don't know why, I don't know why
I met you once and I'd fallen for your notions
I don't know why, I don't know why
Do you believe that there's treasures in the ocean?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
That big old smile is all you wore
Girl, you make me want to feel
The things I've never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You hold me to that
No lonely hands grab my suitcase full of nothing
I don't know why, I don't know why
You took me in gave me something to believe in
That big old smile is all you wore
Girl, you make me want to feel
Things I never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You can hold me to that
Girl, you make me want to feel
Things I've never felt before
Girl, you make me want to feel
Did I say I'm just a boy?
Did I say I'm just a boy?
You can hold me to that
The song Just a Boy by Angus & Julia Stone is an introspective love song that explores the feeling of falling in love with someone unexpectedly. The opening lines of the first verse, "I bit my tongue in the awkward conversation, I don't know why, I don't know why," reflect the singer's nervousness and hesitation in expressing their feelings. The verse continues with "I've fallen for your notions," suggesting that the singer has become infatuated with the person they are speaking to.
The chorus, with its repetition of "Girl, you make me want to feel things I've never felt before," highlights the transformative power of love. The singer is experiencing emotions that they have never felt before, suggesting that this relationship is unique and special.
The second verse describes how the other person has given the singer a sense of purpose and direction. "You took me in gave me something to believe in" shows how the other person has become a source of inspiration for the singer.
Overall, the song portrays the excitement, uncertainty and unpredictability of falling in love. Despite the singer's reluctance to express their feelings and their initial disarming remarks about being "just a boy," the song implies that the relationship is something to be treasured and held onto.

Wish I was still beautiful
And in motion
I d do it all
Sing all their songs
And I wouldn't care if the whole damn world sang along for nothing
I ll beat at the walls
That cover me over
Next to the great hill
In heaven
I ll have my fun some
And write it all down
Until I meet the world again
Then we ll all sing along as one
Forever young
I don't know why
It feels so important
Is this my last will and testament or just
An examination
But don t cry yet just look deep into my eyes
Tomorrow
For tonight is all smiles with a love all around us
Just a simple function
Of the heart
(Chorus)
Cause we will all have the same tomorrow
In the ends of
Creation
Buried alive but still living
I can't even tell day from nite
From nothing

Haha my ex also showed me this one, I looked it up because I wanted to show it to another girl who must like it. I advice you to stop playing it and move on. There's a reason why she is your ex.

You're a good man.

I remember dancing to this back in 2010 with my first imaginary characters for the novel/comic I never wrote. It's only 12 years later does this character still persist and I hope I can work on his love story for himself and his life. Beautiful gems like these never fade and I hope this song can be a blanket of security and memories, for all those who listen along~
