Aniel Proctor, (better known by his stage name “Aniel”), is an African-American Christian recording artist, producer, and songwriter. Born in Jacksonville, FL to a traditional Christian family, he grew up listening only to Gospel music. He developed a passion for singing. Artists like Mary, Mary and Trin-i-tee 5:7 were some of his favorites. This passion later led him to attend arts schools during his junior and senior high school years, where he majored in vocal performance. It was during this time that he came across very humble programs that allowed him to record and create his own beats. As he matured spiritually and musically, He improved at the craft. By the time he graduated he began working on his debut project “Surround Sound”, independently writing and producing all of his music from his bedroom laptop and computer mic. The album features singles “How U Love” and “Freakshow”, which take influence from the popular sounds of dance and pop found in secular music. His sound can be compared to artists like Beckah Shae, TobyMac, Charmaine, Group 1 Crew, Britt Nicole, and Krystal Meyers.
