Victim
Animal Hate Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Is it several thousand years
What yet died
But to this day his shadows
Accompanies people on every step
Below his in the name of killing
Ourself yourself respectively
In wind remain on feel
Smell his blood
Pick him from throng
A has happened of our victims to
Was ethrones over ours heads
Do we are so
A has happened holy

Bow to his hooves
To us has been grace

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Animal Hate's song "Victim" seem to be discussing the lasting effects of violence and oppression. The opening line raises the question of how long ago a tragic event occurred ("Is it several thousand years / What yet died"), but the rest of the song suggests that despite the passage of time, the "shadow" of that event continues to follow humanity. This shadow is represented by the lingering memory of "his" (presumably a victim's) blood and scent, and the constant reminder of the act of killing.

The lyrics also make reference to the idea that we are all victims of violence in some sense. The phrase "in the name of killing / Ourself yourself respectively" suggests that violence is a self-destructive act that harms both the victim and the perpetrator. The line "Do we are so" is a bit convoluted, but could be interpreted as a question about whether we are all complicit in perpetuating violence and oppression. The song also touches on religious themes, with the line "A has happened holy / Bow to his hooves / To us has been grace" suggesting that the violence inflicted upon the victim was somehow sanctioned by a higher power.

Overall, the lyrics of "Victim" are dark and haunting, painting a picture of a world where violence and its aftermath are never truly eradicated.

The fact that she stuck with her boyfriend through his cancer treatment and now he’s sticking with her through her recovery is amazing.

I’m a veterinarian and this is horrific. That being said, in my line of work I see how casual people are about their dogs being aggressive. There have been multiple times where a dog has gone for me and the owner casually states after the fact that the dog bites. They often say the dog is just being “cheeky”. I’ve had a few colleagues require surgery because of “cheeky” dogs… If I then insist on them muzzling the dog, the owner is often more concerned that the dog won’t like it, rather than the fact that it nearly bit my face off a minute ago. People are assholes. All the best to this woman.

That couple will pay eventually for their ignorance. Not everyone should be a dog owner. This woman is so brave. Heart breaking but so impressive at same time. What a beautiful soul. And her boy friend too. Wish them the very best. ❤❤

I'm a dog owner and i think vets can be very money orientated. My dog had a lump on her belly, i took her in to get her anal gland unblocked and the vet told me the lump was a cyst and they will operate on it next time i take her in. 6 months later with me worrying and wondering if the "cyst" was going to harm her, i took her back in to get it removed. She hated the vets and me leaving her there over night stressed her out. She wouldn't drink or eat while under their care. I picked her up the next day and was told the lump was just fatty tissue. I was fuming i put her through that ordeal for nothing. When i pulled the vet for telling me it was a cyst, i was met with a brick wall of denial.

@@bluenose7984 Has my post got got anything to do about money and vet pricing? No. Am I your vet and did I charge you? No. Are all vets the same and similarly priced? Also no. I did not remove the lump. I have no opinion either way. Go complain to your own vet if you’re unhappy. Nothing a stranger on the internet can do about it.
