We're coming clean to the new world order
We're at the front of the line today
We're breaking free of every boundary and every border on the rise doay
We smash the past and we're falling forward falling victim to our own dismay

Don't count us out before the battle is over the fortunate sons of disorder and disarray
We're breaking free of the new supreme today
We're calling out to the musical masses we come together and we're able to smakt it
Jumpstart the Revolution

This helped me so much, had an omega watch my dad gave me years ago, which i left in a closet, decided to bring it out and thought it malfunction cos it would tick for a few second hen stop. could not understand why, was thinking maybe to take it into get it serviced. After watching this and unscrewing the dial but not pulling it right out then spinning it about 20 times, works perfectly. Have been checking on the watch every so often and its ticking away. Awesome and thanks for the video.

I came on here to find out if my suspicions were correct and that you can't over wind an automatic watch. Now I know why I haven't had that "the watch is fully wound" feeling that you have with a manual winding watch. Thanks for making the video.

@212days same. Apparently they do this thing were the mainspring tail unlatched and relatches to ease tension. You’ll hear an extra click. That’s why I was confused too. I heard that click and thought I broke it. But it’s ok!

@Tj H It always feels the same. It always feels like it is being wound. It's not like you fully wind it up and then when that is done there is a different feeling going on.

Tj H

i thought it would still FEEL different between actual winding and the crown turning doing nothing, no?

Glad we could help 212days!

This all depends on the watch. My Seiko is an automatic and doesn’t have the function to wind it with the crown only by shaking it. Then my vintage Tudor is manual only and the crown needs to be unscrew before it can be wound.

Nice info. I have a Steinhart automatic Limited Edition Barrique, Skull edition watch. It's beautiful! I'm somewhat of a novice to automatic watches, so your vid was very informative. Thank you!

Well, yes and no. Some automatics can't hand wind - eg the Seiko 5 range. Give them a shake instead.

Not all automatics need to be "unscrewed to the first position". That's mainly for dive watches or sports watches with a screw-down crown to help with water-proofing.
