I remember hearing John Georgiadis, who was then leader of the London Symphony Orchestra, play the first movement of this concerto in about 10 minutes (13:56 here). He must have been in a hurry to get home!!. Nothing can be said about this concerto that hasn't been said already, except that this recording is a perfect example of Sophie Mutter's justified rise to international recognition. Great post.
