In 2007, Gadegaard toured Italy. In 2008, she collaborated with Nicolai Kielstrup, Amalie, Sebastian and Mathias y Mark (Join Us) in the song called "En Verden Til Forskel" (A World of Difference).
There were plans for a sixth album in 2008 but Anne took a break from the music scene for a while.
In March 2010, her mother (that also was her manager) died of breast cancer. Anne came back to the music scene with releasing the single Blah, Blah, but then laid her focus on her blog. In May 2013 she came back with her first single Bag Skyerne, a dedication to her mother.
She ended as a runner up in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 with the song "Suitcase"

Vi danser hele dagen på Jamaica
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica
Vi danser hele dagen på Jamaica
Jamaica, Jamaica, Jamaica
Vi danser hele natten på Jamaica
The lyrics to Anne Gadegaard's song "Jamaica" describe the joyful experience of dancing all day and night on the Caribbean island of Jamaica. The singer reminisces about arriving on the island by ship and being welcomed by a vibrant celebration where everyone was dancing - but she can't say for sure who was the best dancer. The song expresses how the music on the island was so uplifting, it made everyone want to dance, even if they were tired or shy. The singer describes how they danced all evening and late into the night, without ever tiring, thanks to the incredible energy of the music and the island.
Overall, the lyrics of "Jamaica" convey a message of joy, energy, and the power of music to bring people together. The song celebrates the carefree spirit of dancing and enjoying life to the fullest. It invites the listener to join in the fun and experience the infectious beat of Jamaica.
