but I am too fast
always had my doubls
on how long
this love could last
well I got the answer
in the most unpleasant way
if a man can't stay faithful
I've looked at love
from both sides now
and the lesson learned will
show me how
to always trust my intuition
cause it never lets me down
I've looked at love
from both sides now
and the lesson learned will
show me how
to always trust my intuition
cause it never lets me down
<>
gave you all my trust
but you lied me in the face
I guess you couldn't stay long
enough in the same place
so you lost your treasure
I hope you understand
that it was the most precious
you'll ever have
I've looked at love
from both sides now
and the lesson learned will
show me how
to always trust my intuition
cause it never lets me down
I've looked at love
from both sides now
and the lesson learned will
show me how
to always trust my intuition
cause it never lets me down

The lyrics of Annekei's "Both Sides Now" tell a story of heartbreak and betrayal. The song is about a woman who trusted a man, but he proved himself to be unfaithful. The first verse sets the scene for the story: "thought you'd get away but I am too fast, always had my doubts on how long this love could last." The woman has had concerns about the relationship from the beginning, and her fears are confirmed when she discovers that her partner has been unfaithful. She decides that "if a man can't stay faithful, he doesn't get another day."
The chorus repeats the phrase "I’ve looked at love from both sides now and the lesson learned will show me how to always trust my intuition cause it never lets me down." The woman realizes that she needs to trust her gut feeling and intuition when it comes to love because it will never let her down. In the second verse, the woman expresses her disappointment at having given her partner her trust only to have him betray her. She declares that "you lost your treasure, I hope you understand that it was the most precious you'll ever have." The song ends with a repetition of the chorus, reminding the listener of the lesson learned from this experience.
Overall, "Both Sides Now" is a message of empowerment for those who have experienced heartbreak. The song encourages listeners to trust their own instincts, learn from their experiences, and move forward stronger than before.
