One More Arrow
Annie Haslam Lyrics

Take the night into your own hands
Burn the flame ignite the love we used to know
Learn to change we've got to let the past go
Start to heal cause we don't have to fall
Hearts that feel can have it all
[Chorus]
Shoot one more arrow through my heart
We'll come back stronger and hold on longer
Shoot one more arrow through my heart
Unashamed it can't be wrong to try again
No one's to blame but just a quiet end
Smile for me cause heaven's not so far away
I'll believe that this is where you should stay
Start to heal cause we don't have to part
Hearts that feel can have it all
[Chorus]
Start to heal cause we don't have to part
Hearts that feel can have it all
[Chorus 2x]
The Annie Haslam song "One More Arrow" conveys a message of hope and a desire to reconnect with a loved one. The opening lines of the song encourage the listener to take the initiative to help the singer understand their situation better. The subsequent lyrics speak to a need to reignite the passion and love that had been present in the past. The chorus's central metaphor of shooting one more arrow through the heart echoes a desire to give a relationship one final shot before letting it go. Within the lyrics, there is a sense of yearning for a second chance and a willingness to forgive and forget the past.
The second verse of the song emphasizes that trying again is not something to be ashamed of, and no one is to blame for the end of their previous relationship. Instead, the singer wants the listener to smile and recognize that heaven is still within reach. In the final lines of the song, the emphasis is on healing and choosing to stay together, even though parting ways might seem easier.
Overall, the song is about second chances and the hope of rekindling lost love. It conveys a message of healing and forgiveness, as well as a willingness to move past past mistakes and embrace the present.
